I must disclose that I am not a member of the Arnie Zeiderman fan club. He is the Liberal Cylon robot of David Stafford Reade and I am not surprised when he takes RINO positions. But I was shocked to learn that Arnie Zeiderman is pushing for the Amador GOP to endorse Jeff Seaton for Judge!

Seaton’s largest donors are:

  • A Casino
  • A left-wing Law Firm in Santa Monica
  • The Grandfather of a man sent to prison last year

So far, we’ve established that Seaton has had two marriages end due to his outrageous infidelity.
He has verbally attacked crime victims publicly.
He has engaged in disgusting courtroom antics – including turning his back on a victim who was so badly injured that part of her internal organs were hanging out of a wound she suffered in a savage attack.
In his defense of criminals – he has put law enforcement on trial.

The above would be enough to make the Amador GOP get embarrassed for considering Seaton – but Seaton’s story defies common decency.

In the case of People vs. Vick – Vick had prior convictions. He was up for molesting an 8 year old girl. Seaton hired an psychological expert named Tamara Wishnowski to develop questions that would devastate the 8-year-old victim.

In the case of People vs. Sanne – the defendant was charged with molestation. It appears that Seaton misrepresented an offer in court by a D.A causing a demand for censure. There is an ongoing investigation of behind the scenes conduct and special favors that may well explain some of Seaton’s endorsements…

In the case of People vs. Jenkins – the defendant brutally attacked his grandfather. The grandfather, apparently being an enabler started paying Seaton and refused to cooperate with any investigation. There was no waiver of conflict of interest by Seaton who apparently did not comprehend the ethical issue.

Never fear – Jenkins committed another crime. He is currently being prosecuted for attempted murder in a stabbing shortly after walking off scott free for beating his grandfather.

Recently, Seaton defended a Yuba County man who got convicted of 13 counts of child molestation (this guy seems to draw child molesters like flies).  The convicted molester is trying to have the verdict overturned as the allegation is that Seaton was on pain meds the whole time…

Why is this guy running for Judge? Why is the Amador GOP considering endorsing him? — at a minimum, Seaton should be censured for his conduct not endorsed.

Why is Zeiderman supporting him? Why did the Jackson Rancheria give him a large check?

Jeff Seaton will be more dangerous as a Judge than anyone he has defended in court! Amador County deserves better, our California Justice system deserves better.

Tehama GOP to California GOP – UP YOURS

California Republican Party, Dan Logue, Doug LaMalfa, Jim Nielsen  Comments Off on Tehama GOP to California GOP – UP YOURS

Let me start by saying that I am not aligned politically with the Tehama GOP within the GOP political strata. They have been / are in the LaMalfa/Nielsen Camp – the regular readers of this blog know that I use LaMalfa and Nielsen as a punching bag regularly.

That being said – Ken Say and his committee have a right to support LaMalfa and Nielsen. They have a right to endorse anyone they damn well please. That seems to be more than the incumbent protectors can handle.

The California Republican Party’s pre-primary endorsement process is a joke. It was rigged to be incumbent protection all the way – and considering that the CRP’s leadership made up rules as they went along in order to get said results – it should be no surprise to anyone that they have made a lot of people angry.

Now the fallout is continuing. The Orange County Republicans who courageously stood up and denied John Campbell an endorsement got slapped in the face by the CRP’s oligarchy and endorsed John Campbell anyway. The Tehama GOP, apparently doing the bidding of David Stafford Reade – endorsing Tehama supervisor Bob Williams in an attempt to block a CRP endorsement of Dan Logue were blatantly railroaded by the CRP leadership. As opposed to when the Placer GOP refused to endorse Beth or Ted Gains or when Orange refused to endorse John Campbell – the Tehama GOP actually Endorsed Bob Williams!

Normally, the leadership of the California Republican Party are notorious conflict avoiders – but the pressure of supporting the club actually caused them to have to go against their avoidance instincts and actually take a stand. They used nuance to override the actions of the Placer and Orange Central Committees – but what they did to Tehama went to the next level. They ignored the Tehama endorsement of Bob Williams all together by selectively enforcing part of the CRP By-Laws which they ignored to make other crony endorsements in order to override Tehama.

The Tehama GOP told Tom Del Becarro to go to hell today:

RED BLUFF – Following two weeks of silence from the California Republican Party Board of Directors regarding their controversial endorsement process, the Tehama County Republican Party sent the following open letter to Chairman Tom Del Beccaro rescinding their previous invitation to him to serve as the keynote speaker for their May Lincoln Reagan Dinner.

Notice the pattern? Two weeks of silence – aka avoiding conflict. So the CRP leadership are back to their old tricks…

CRP Chairman Tom Del Beccaro,

After serious discussion of the endorsement actions taken by the California Republican Party Board of Directors during their March 11th meeting, the Tehama County Republican Party has unanimously voted to rescind the invitation extended to you to be our guest speaker at the TCRP dinner of May 19, 2012. The TCRP, by unanimous vote, has affirmed that our speaker must be someone that upholds our adherence to Republican values and principles. Unfortunately, we no longer believe that you meet that criteria and have voted to invite speakers that the TCRP believe to meet that standard.

We realize that you are only one vote on the Board, but your personal leadership in the CRP Board endorsement process has convinced us that you were unable to guide the Board in adhering to the Board’s own bylaws. The specific bylaw violation was the invalidation of Tehama County’s February 9th endorsement of Assembly candidate, Tehama County Supervisor Bob Williams, which then allowed the CRP Board to disregard the clear requirement of a non-endorsement by the Board in Section 3.02 of the bylaws. The TCRP believes that their endorsements were invalidated by the CRP Board because it did not fit conveniently with the candidates that you wanted to support and we resent that CRP funds will be used to only support your candidates.

We are making our displeasure of the Board’s and your action public to let the other Republican County Central Committees know that the CRP’s leadership has placed their own interests above the individual interests of the local Republican voters as expressed by their duly-elected central committee members. We clearly understand the reason for the alienation that many California Republicans feel toward the State Party.

We, the Tehama County Republican Party, at the local level, will continue to support the Republican candidates that represent our best interests and not some unknown person picked by a “star chamber” in an illegal procedure.

Sincerely,  Ken Say, Chairman

In fairness to Doug – he is not the only reason why the State Legislature is at a 15% approval rating. It is a team effort.

However, Doug LaMalfa is campaigning as a “staunch fiscal conservative” – so now the issue becomes one of legislative integrity.

We’ve detailed how Doug LaMalfa is a gigantic welfare recipient. We’ve detailed how he has publicly advocated for more welfare and used his office to benefit himself.

One of the bizarre quirks of being a legislator is the self-insured Auto program that the legislature had until recently.

A story popped out in the Bee about the program and it is not pretty.

Doug LaMalfa used a Mustang Mach 1 as his state car. Not just any Mustang, a Mach 1.

A racoon was no match for Doug Lamalfa’s mustang – when interviewed about the Mustang, Doug doffed his cowboy hat and said “Aw shucks, I felt horrible the poor critter…”

Poor taxpayers. $1317 in damage + the $200k in salary and benefits LaMalfa draws as an officeholder.

Even more peculiar is the accident he had later on that cost the taxpayers $16,000.

I have been told by sources that LaMalfa rear-ended a parked 18-wheeler in said Mustang Mach 1 in the evening after an event. Suffice to say – a $16,000 auto repair is major… did the Mach 1 get totalled or fixed? Why wasn’t there a police report as an accident causing $16,000 in damage is major…

Did Doug LaMalfa or any other legislators get DMV points like the rest of us for their accidents?

File this as another reason why the State Legislature has about the same approval rating as a convicted sex offender… and to think the Republican Party establishment wants to protect this type of status quo!?

I have discovered a disturbing candidate running for Judge in Amador County. His name is Jeffrey Seaton, a notorious criminal defense attorney.  Judicial races are important considering the upcoming debate about the Death Penalty in California.  Judges must be ready to insure that justice serves the interests of the people, and that includes the weak and innocent victims.

Jeff Seaton has exhibited contempt for Crime Victims –  and yet he wants to serve as a Judge in Amador County.

In the case of People Vs Akemon – he represented a Prison Guard that molested a young boy. Once the defendant couldn’t pay – he dropped the case on the eve of trial.

In the case of People vs Davidson – Seaton represented a defendant that gave a young boy Marijuana. Once the boy was intoxicated, Davidson sodomized him. Seaton took Davidson’s car as payment for representation (apparently, he did not make such an arrangement with Akemon). Fortunately, none of Seaton’s antics and truth-defying arguments worked in this case – Davidson went to Prison.

However, some registered Sex Offenders seem to like the prospect of Seaton for Judge. Here is his banner at the house of a known sex-offender in Amador County:

People vs Eisenbeis? Eisenbeis liked to beat his wife. Seaton actually represented both at one point (not sure how that is possible) – Eisenbeis got a few more shots in on his wife, breaking her arm and there were no technicalities left for Seaton to hide him behind. Now Eisenbeis is in prison. (hopefully getting the crap beat out of him)

Seaton’s ethical issues are on parade – ask his ex-wives.

Court room testimony shows that Jeff Seaton had an affair with a woman who became his new law secretary and wife number 2.

Later the facts revealed that Seaton’s second wife was abandoned with nothing, despite being with him 16 years and helping him build his law practice. Despite Seaton’s affair with another woman, he claimed he was never really married in the first place and took his case to the appellate court. The court threw out this laughable argument.

Documents show that Seaton used his court room skills and legal sense in an attempt to destroy his second wife despite the fact that it was his infidelity that broke up the marriage. It also appears Seaton had the trial moved to Sacramento because he somehow believed that a Schwarzenegger appointment to a judgeship was in the works.

Seaton did not get appointed Judge at that time which is why he is running now (even Arnold has standards) – but what if I told you that the Amador County Republican Party is considering endorsing this guy!?

I already told you that the Jackson Rancheria Casino and so-called Amador county leaders are supporting this guy – it makes you wonder what the hell is going on in Amador County… but, there’s more…

Someone Explain This? LaMalfa / Logue Colluding?

Dan Logue, Doug LaMalfa, Ted Gaines  Comments Off on Someone Explain This? LaMalfa / Logue Colluding?

This is a common sight in the north state. Logue and LaMalfa 4×8 signs in close proximity.

I am not sure what to make of this. I do know that recently, Dan Logue re-joined the club, and endorsed a whole bunch of incumbents regardless of past history.

Logue is sporting the endorsements of Aanestad and McClintock in his race against David Stafford Reade recruited Bob Williams.

It seems far-fetched to me except when you combine multiple incidences of this and the behavior of insiders – it would seem that there has been a shift.

Does Logue’s support of Ted and Beth Gaines also translate to LaMalfa? It is now common knowledge that Team Gaines and Team LaMalfa have been unified by their consultant, Dave Gilliard who sees himself as Northern California’s political godfather.

It is also common knowledge that Steve Davey and David Stafford Reade have the same defects of character and have become close.

So, do the apparent marriages of LaMalfa signs with Logue signs and the apparent shift of Logue in to the Gaines camp mean that there is some sort of alliance?

The only scenario I can think of is that Logue thinks LaMalfa is going to beat Sam Aanestad for Congress – or Logue wants LaMalfa to win so it opens up the State Senate seat to run for…

I have become quite cynical and jaded toward politicians based on the idiocy I have seen from the Republican insiders lately – so don’t automatically discount this theory.

I felt strongly enough about it to write about it as there are simply too many coincidences – I ignored similar signs before the Gaines/LaMalfa/Gilliard coordinated attack on the Placer County Republican Central Committee last year.

The part that stands in contrast? David Stafford Reade threatened to sue the CRP if they endorsed Dan Logue, Mark Spannagel shared concerns with CRP CCA Chairman Mark Spannagel that he was afraid the CRP’s process would end up in legal action. This was two weeks ago – and now this?

Politicians suck.
