Update: Dan Logue was endorsed. Apparently, David Stafford Reade’s attempt to rig a blocking endorsement in a county was exposed.

I am proud to be a Placer County Republican Central Committee Member.

Why? We sent two incumbents back to sender, refusing to endorse Beth Gaines or Ted Gaines. (Who could have avoided the embarrassment by simply trying to reach out after a variety of mistakes)

The California Republican Party Board of directors met and ignored party By-Laws requiring unanimity of Central Committees basically ignoring committees that did not reach endorsements in races and deferring to the others that did.

The CRP Board of directors has endorsed every incumbent except Dan Logue. I am sure Logue got messed over by David Stafford Reade… but the decisions of local Cent Coms and the CRP By-Laws did not matter here… 27 people are making kings for a party of 5 million.

… and it is the endorsement issue that is at the core of why Ted Gaines, (elements of) the Lincoln Tea Party and the RINO’s recruited people to run for Placer County Republican Central Committee against the CRA… they want to be able to endorse the incumbents again regardless of merit.
