AD-72: Very simple metric. Tyler Diep was set up to run for AD-72 by former Assemblyman Travis Allen. Diep promptly repaid Travis Allen by taking $3800 from California Trailblazers and endorsing the now former executive director of California Trailblazers over Travis Allen for CAGOP Chair in 2019. In addition, Tyler has as liberal of a voting record as several democrats – including voting Yes on the disaster known as AB5 which has wrecked the careers of tens of thousands. Diep has gotten his 30 pieces of silver as his campaign account is flush with Labor Union money and PAC donations.

It is the opinion of this blogger that Diep will bolt the GOP as soon as it suits him as Diep seems to have a life pattern of using and discarding relationships.

Janet Nguyen is meaner than a junkyard dog and this is precisely what the GOP needs as people like Diep, Chad Mayes and their friends in the swamp are hunting Republicans in to extinction.

Frank Ury has been seen in public several times with Ed Sachs. Has Ury been coordinating his attacks on Laurie Davies with Sachs?

One of the most consistent complaints, beyond Ed Sachs filing and diluting the Republican vote in AD-73 has been Sachs consistent focus on attacking Laurie Davies and not William “Bill” Brough.

I’ve been deliberately staying out of picking a candidate against William “Bill” Brough because my focus has been on eliminating that monster from the political gene pool. The issue is that monsters are usually enabled both willingly and actively by codependent enablers.

In the case of Frank Ury and Ed Sachs, I think there is a healthy level of “Campaign Envy” and a healthy level of them wondering how Laurie Davies got out of her kitchen to run for office. Sachs and crew derisively refer to Mr. and Mrs. Davies’ occupations – yet say nothing about William “Bill” Brough’s phantom and failed businesses.

Sachs should be talking about the female victims of Bill Brough and Brough’s fiscal malfeasance, I’ve yet to get a report back from anyone that he has.

It is because of Ed Sachs’ behavior and Frank Ury’s stunt that I have decided to plant my flag and endorse Laurie Davies for AD-73. I have lost any confidence that Ed Sachs will do the right thing as he appears to be overcome with jealousy and is literally assisting Bill Brough to the expense of us all.

I also have information that I am attempting to verify that one other prominent local elected in non partisan office may well be on a similar angry ego trip. Once I have been able to verify with evidence I will be writing about that character as well.

The GOP deserves better than ego-fueled rampages. With our numbers shrinking, we need leadership now more than ever and it seems that the exact opposite is happening.

These are Frank Ury’s known donors.

This is what I like to see. GOP Groups taking out the trash.

Let’s start with Tyler Diep – who in the opinion of this blogger will Bolt the GOP after the March Primary. Note – Prop 14 does NOT require the top two candidates to runoff with the party preference they took in the primary. The individual is the nominee, and has nothing to do with the political parties. To think, every time a resolution to oppose Prop 14 has been brought up, the party apparatus has killed it. Tyler Diep will join the Chad Mayes Party in March, perhaps he waits until November if he survives both halves of the election. (But my money is on March for him to Diep in to the ranks of NPP)

Similar to how the Orange County Realtors continue to support William “Bill” Brough in defiance of the facts – they are also pouring money in to the corrupt Tyler Diep because they believe it will buy influence with him. (That is the only conclusion I can draw for why a local group would continue investing in such people of low character)

Of note – Matt Fleming who is a paid consultant of the CAGOP wrote an op ed defending Tyler Diep a day before former OCGOP Chair Scott Baugh tore him apart.

Secondly, the CAGOP’s BY-Laws indicate that for a candidate to have a CAGOP endorsement, they must have at least 80% of the underlying counties. Tyler Diep now has 0% of the underlying counties. Will the CAGOP follow its’ own by-laws and yank the endorsement? (If Matt Fleming has anything to say, nothing will happen)

Live action shot of Bill Brough on the 241 Freeway

ORANGE COUNTY, CA – Hon. Fred M. Whitaker, Chairman of the Republican Party of Orange County, released the following statement regarding the endorsement of Assemblyman Tyler Diep:

Yesterday evening Republican Party of Orange County Central Committee met in Executive Session to discuss the Petition of Assemblyman Matthew Harper to rescind the endorsement of Assemblyman Tyler Diep.

The petition was based on a series of votes incongruent with the Republican platform. After a comprehensive discussion and debate, the endorsement of Assemblyman Diep was rescinded by a majority vote, as required by our bylaws.

Chairman Whitaker stated – “This is a sad day when an incumbent Republican member of the legislature loses the local party endorsement, but the party felt there had to be accountability for voting patterns. There are two Republicans running in the primary for the 72nd Assembly District, and the voters can decide which one best represents their district without a recommendation from the local party.”

Assemblyman Diep is still endorsed by the California Republican Party.

And, then there is the curious case of the raging alcoholic Bill Brough. The booze must have been talking in his last email:

Brough has built a vast organization for his March 3 re-election. The resources allow Brough to get his message out and counter the negative, dishonest attacks by his opponents. Comparing fundraising numbers, electoral and a proven conservative record, it is clear that Brough is in the best position to win in March.

Everyone whines about attacks being dishonest which is why your intrepid blogger cites sources, uses photos and provides links to articles and documents. I’d encourage Brough to put the bottle of Popov down and have a look at the dozens of media articles and thousands of pages of public records related to him. Perhaps this is the vast organization he was referring to?

Two other “Vast Organizations” lit him up good: (But in Brough’s mind intoxication it is all about his sudden opposition to the 241 Toll Road expansion…)

ORANGE COUNTY REPUBLICAN LEADERS JOIN AND CALL ON ASSEMBLYMAN BILL BROUGH TO RESIGN

Two Orange County Republican leaders today demanded the immediate resignation of Assemblyman Bill Brough from office (R – Assembly District 73).

At least four women have publicly accused Brough of unwanted sexual advances and inappropriate touching. Brough is currently under investigation by the California Assembly for some of the accusations.

“It’s time for Bill Brough to step aside, resign, and open the door for a candidate who can represent South County without degrading the name of the Republican Party,” said John Warner, President of The Lincoln Club of Orange County.

Steve Craig, Chairman of The New Majority joined in the demand. The Lincoln Club of Orange County is the oldest conservative donor group in California. The New Majority is a powerful right-leaning political action organization.

“The allegations against Mr. Brough are serious, and we take them seriously. Every one of Mr. Brough’s constituents should too,” said Craig. “South County deserves a representative who isn’t dogged by allegations of the worst kind of behavior toward women.”

The Republican Party of Orange County in September called on Brough to not seek reelection and to retire at the end of his current term.

Several accusers have made their stories public through press reports: One said that, after almost two years of sexual comments and advances, Brough pressed himself against her at a Sacramento hotel in 2015 and propositioned her for sex. In 2011, according to another accuser, Brough grabbed her by the shoulders from behind, propositioned her, and refused to let her go. A third said that in 2018 Brough put his hand on a wall behind her, blocked her from moving, and began touching her face and neck. She says he told her, “We should get out of here… You look like the kind of girl who would like to have fun.”

“Accusations about Brough’s conduct have been made by women who knew Mr. Brough and worked with or around him, including an elected Orange County Supervisor,” said Mr. Craig. “Several of them told friends shortly after Mr. Brough approached them and have filed formal complaints against him. They’ve taken risks by coming forward.”

Brough is the County’s only incumbent elected official who hasn’t been endorsed by the Orange County Republican Party or the California Republican Party. Because of the accusations, The Lincoln Club of Orange County and The New Majority rescinded their endorsements of Brough in September.

Brough was also warned by the California Fair Political Practices Commission about the misuse of campaign funds for a week-long trip to Paris in July of 2016. That commission is also said to be investigating a complaint alleging that Brough spent roughly $200,000 in campaign funds on personal expenses over four years including meals, cigars, a custom liquor cabinet, cell phone bills, and family vacations.

Brough is the Assemblyman for California’s 73rd Assembly District, which includes Mission Viejo, Laguna Niguel, Dana Point, San Clemente and other South Orange County cities and county areas.

Good for these groups.

The Orange County Toll road saga can not be as simple as a bunch of NIMBY’s and some knucklehead Republicans slithering in to the lowest common denominator to get votes? This saga alone should be enough to show any reasonable person that neither Bill Brough nor Bryan Maryott should hold office, ever. (CA-49 = Mike Levin’s Congressional Seat, AD-73 = William “Bill” Brough’s Assembly Seat)

Yeah, they even hate “Green” energy as these memes came from a fight over solar arrays and windmills.

Picking up with the LA Times article assaulting the now former consultant for the Toll Road Authority, it looks like the “overpaid consultant” for the Toll Road, just months after being hired engineered an end to 12 years of environmental lawsuits. There goes that cover story. True to form for the weak leadership in Orange County, the consultant was thrown over the side rather than being defended. This dynamic has to be part of what San Clemente was counting on when they hired a media drill that yielded LA Times Stories attacking the consultants among other stories in other outlets as well.

It appears that in addition to the media drill, that the City of San Clemente attempted BS Enviro Lawsuits that failed. It looks like with the enviro hurdles cleared (by the Consultant that the Toll Road Authority fired, by the way) that the San-Clemente City Council got desperate and went looking for help.

Enter Major Democrat Donor Harvey Englander who obviously has to have a major axe to grind as he lost the $1.8 Million Contract for the OC TCA to someone else. In 2015, when the open bidding was done to hire a consultant, (A fact omitted in the LA Times Hit Piece referenced in a previous blog) Adam Englander and the firm Englander, Knabe and Allen finished in second place. Note to LA Times – that means they bid higher than the $185 an hour you breathlessly reported about. (and that “overpaid consultant” helped in saving millions of dollars by mitigating the enviro lawsuits against the project!)

That’s right, Bryan Maryott, San Clemente and William “Bill” Brough are in bed with a major Democrat donor. Look at the donor pedigree of Harvey Englander. Adam Schiff, Hitlary, the Kamala Dragon, even — $2,000 to MIKE LEVIN. He even gave $500 to that loser John (t)Ossoff whose GA-06 Loss was an epic fail for Trump-Haters everywhere! In the most dramatic of ironies, Bill Brough is now allied with a four-time donor to Bob Filner. That’s right – Harvey was a repeat donor to the groper… How’s the swamp water feel Mr. Brough???

Given the abject bias of the LA Times and the timing of their story, it is the belief of this blogger that Harvey Englander was behind planting the story and the careful omission of facts in it. If it was not for people trying to obfuscate the issues of Bill Brough and the stupidity of Bryan Maryott (sending me Facebook ads 450 miles away), your intrepid blogger may have never come across this attempted sabotage of YET ANOTHER FREEWAY in CA. Based on what I know, Daddy (as in Harvey) has tons of connections in LA County, including having social justice warrior reporters in his back pocket he can shop stories to. Harvey has been infesting the body politic since the 1970’s. Englander donated to Al Gore for President for pete’s sake.

Get a good look at Harvey, he is the man trying to screw over a generation of South OC Residents to settle a score. The NIMBY activists in San Clemente have pinned their hopes on him too. Has Harvey taken care of Bill Brough? Inquiring Bloggers want to know…

If you still don’t believe me, take a look at Harvey Englander’s proposal to San Clemente. Read it here as many times as is necessary. Did Bill Brough read the proposal before a couple cases of Burbon made it to his spread on the coast of Dana Point? (Who knows, maybe it did not cost Harvey a dime to get Brough on board)

Unfortunately for San Clemente and Harvey Englander, I found a neat link on the internet about the exact same subject matter as the LA Times hit piece. Boy what a different story it tells about the Southern Orange County Toll Roads!

Harvey and his crew (that includes Don Knabe, who has more baggage than a 747) quote Sun Tzu in their preamble. Sun Tzu died over 1,000 years ago and if Sun Tzu was alive today, he’d get his ass kicked on the Right on Daily Blog too. Your intrepid blogger does not like NIMBY’s very much, nor do we like politicians that make chicken-feed short-sighted decisions to curry favor with groups that will never support them. (Ahem, Billy Boy and Bryan)

On page one of the proposal that Englander sent to the City of San-NIMBYte, Harvey talks about having contingency plans to deal with responses and being available for a kill-shot when the opportunity is presented. Harvey shoulda run a background report on Bill Brough first as Brough is a walking political suicide shot.

In the words of the great American theologian Mike Tyson, “Everyone gotta pwan till dey get punch in da fathe”. It appears that Englander has been running around bullying people on behalf of San Clemente. Then they got punch in da fathe…

If you boil down the proposal by Englander, it is a litany of maybe legal, but undeniably unethical abuses of the system.

Given that most in office are cowards and hate any sort of negative news, (This applies to Harvey’s side of the political aisle as well as Republicans) Harvey and company understood that starting the fan and throwing stuff through it would be a great strategy. He could get unprincipled trans-conservatives like Maryott to buckle and could “buy” people like Bill Brough who are corrupt (as proven by the Right on Daily Blog) and vulnerable to change with the whims of the political winds.

Harvey was able to get something like $97K out of the City of San Clemente after the humiliating defeat a couple years earlier for the prime $1.8 Million OC TCA Contract. Harvey Englander was paid in October of 2017, as it appears from records posted on the internet. The public smear campaign started shortly thereafter. I sometimes Imagine what I could do to someone or some group for $97K. (fill a psych ward?)

Quoting the 3/7/2019 Article linked previously:

Englander did not mince words in its proposal, citing five lessons from The Art of War writing, “at Englander… having a well-thought-out timetable enables us to be offensive in our activities and be prepared to take a “kill shot” when the opportunity is presented.”

Englander backed up that “kill shot” statement, squarely aimed at the TCA and Venture, taking the proposal to another level that will have many questioning the business practice of “antagonism campaigns” and the motives of the San Clemente City Council.

Blogger’s Note: Venture (Strategic) is the consultant that beat Harvey for the Toll Road Contract

In the proposal Englander wrote, “TCA’s primary challenge throughout its’ history has been earning public support for their [told road] activities.”

“The path to success is to increase public antagonism toward the agency, its Board of Directors within their own cities, taxpayers and even some environmental groups.”

Got it? When we continue, we will start unraveling the tactics Harvey Englander and crew are using to bully local electeds. If you are on the fence about the Toll Road thing in Southern Orange County, once Right on Daily is done with Harvey Englander and the San Clemente City Council I hope you will support the Toll Road Authority digging a tunnel right through their City Hall.

Bill Brough just appears to be a useful idiot, trying to get more campaign cash to spend on Cigars, overpriced meals or junkets to Ireland. (when he is not acting like a complete pig towards women that is)

It is also a goal of Right on Daily to make sure neither Bryan Maryott nor Bill Brough get any serious consideration from Republicans as their decision to side with the left-wing democrat donor bullies is indefensible and was based on short-sighted political gain and not about the best interests of their would-be constituents.

If you are an officeholder or a stakeholder in Southern Orange County – take heart because Sun Tzu has never met a blogger from Placer County that wants to see the GOP return to relevance. It is a bonus that I get to torch some liberal democrats and their so-called Republican buddies trying to keep California in the stone age. You no longer have to fear bad press because it is now open season on the bullies, and you can now vote your conscience without fear or intimidation.

P.S. No real conservative sells out core Republican principles for a few votes and a nice seat at a cocktail party. Given how feckless Bryan Maryott is, there is a part of me that would rather see Levin re-elected as he is an honest communist who took $2,000 from Harvey Englander. To be continued…

Just say No to Bryan Maryott in CA49 and No to Bill Brough in AD-73
Jun 192019

For several years, there had been rumors about the personal conduct of Bill Brough. He is reputed to be a heavy drinker with loose personal behavior. In particular, it was alleged that Brough has had multiple incidences of sexual harassment, including alleged outright issues of sexual assault (aka physical contact). Brough is the AD73 Incumbent Assemblyman.

Your intrepid blogger has learned that there indeed was a complaint filed with the Rules Committee against Brough that went nowhere. Brough had publicly denied there was ever a complaint. He has also publicly denied wrongdoing. It is the opinion of this blogger that he lied.

It also appears that the OCGOP is so deeply concerned about these issues that Bill Brough did not receive a consent calendar endorsement at their regular meeting Monday evening.

Rather, OC Supervisor Lisa Bartlett spoke out forcefully against endorsing Bill Brough to a stunned audience. She detailed in graphic terms the incident of Sexual Assault/Harassment that she personally endured at the hands of Mr. Brough.

It is clear to this blogger that Brough has had enablers covering for him for years. It is also clear that Brough has had a litany of issues related to intoxication and his out of control behavior that occurs once intoxicated. Sans proof (aka the victims talking to me, or documented evidence of criminal/civil proceedings) I’ve stayed quiet.

The OC GOP sat in stunned silence as Lisa Bartlett opened up publicly for the first time about the alleged incident that was widely known but never confirmed by Mrs. Bartlett. The stunned committee voted Unanimously (save one holdout) to refer Brough’s endorsement to the endorsement committee for a “Closed Door Investigation”.

Bill Brough’s life is starting to unravel as is this budding scandal with multiple alleged victims. Add AD73 to the list of GOP seats that could be imperiled by the coming election.

IN CA45, your intrepid blogger has received information that suggests retired Lt. Col Greg Raths was told not to run for CA45. The issues appear to be nothing of his qualifications (he is a local councilmember and mayor) but rather a desire of the “party leadership” to check demographic boxes with their recruits.

It has been put to this blogger by more than one source that none of Rath’s alleged weaknesses were the issue, rather, he was told not to run because he is an old white guy. Whoops.

Having seen the SD-05 race detonate over similar circumstances with a poorly vetted recruit, one wonders if other shoes are going to drop there in CA-45 as well.

I will have follow up information on Raths as the more I learn about him the more I am open to his candidacy for higher office.

The OCGOP appears to be a dumpster fire and Fred Whitaker, the OCGOP Chairman is being forced to exert leadership contrary to his record for being a weak conflict avoider. The decisions the OCGOP make in the next year could very well determine if Orange County will turn Red Again or become a democrat stronghold.

To Be Continued…

P.S. I was involved in the AD-73 race a while ago when Brough won. I did not work for anyone, but I wrote a series of blogs on the OC Politics Blog where I decimated Anna Bryson who was the establishment choice in that race. As such, I’ve kept an eye on that district since…

Did you see that vulnerable Rep Ami Bera lost the Sac Dem Party endorsement because he did not adhere to dem party principles?

After angering some within the liberal wing of his party, Democratic Rep. Ami Bera came to Sacramento on Sunday to make a personal appeal but still failed to receive enough support from activists to secure the Democratic endorsement for his re-election.

Bera, a perennial target of Republicans, does not face an intraparty challenge, but his votes to advance a controversial trade agreement and limit Syrian and Iraqi refugees from resettling in the U.S. have been enough to spark the rare level of backlash that flared again at the regional gathering.

So – even with Bera in the cross-hairs of an extremely strong Republican Challenger, the Sacramento Dem Party held true to its’ principles.
As we have written previously, the OC GOP ran a drill and brow beat people to make sure that the incumbent was supported at all costs in the SD37 Race. We have and will document that John Moorlach is a big government moderate and frequently violates the GOP platform with his stances.

And people wonder why the OCGOP share of the vote has gone from 68% in 1992 down to 56% in 2012?
