Brian Mainschein was barely re-elected in the dem onslaught of 2018. It appears that is his nexus for leaving the GOP for the dem party. Similar to my criticism of so many Republican electeds, the facts don’t matter, nor do the ethics… it is all about the next election. Period.

The California Trailblazers website was scrubbed of any mention of Brian Mainschein (similar to all the stuff on Jessica Patterson’s twitter account praising Chad Mayes and attacking President Trump), however, they missed a few mentions.

Several years ago, it was Nathan Fletcher the last golden boy of the GOP’s squish caucus. They also poured millions in to Rocky Chavez (while savaging Sherry Hodges) in a nearby district. Chavez rewarded the establishment by voting for Cap and Trade then bailed out of AD76. Today, Brian Mainschein joins Rocky Chavez in the Trailblazers Hall of Fame – both used the GOP to get elected then bailed when accountability came.

Since its’ 2011 inception, the California Trailblazers has been present and participated in the net loss of 13 GOP Seats in the State Legislature. 28-19 in the Assembly, 15-11 in the State Senate. How low can we go? Since its’ inception in 2011, the California Trailblazers has paid $2.3 Million in Salaries against a paltry $142,000 in candidate contributions. Jessica Patterson’s haul has been over $1.2 Million.

No matter what Mrs. Patterson’s pitch is for election to CAGOP Chairman, the point stands, when you favor the unprincipled you get unprincipled results. California Trailblazers is an abject failure that should more properly be referred to as a Ponzi Scheme. Mrs. Patterson has a long, storied history of working for candidates that have betrayed the GOP:

Mitt Romney

As I typed this blog, I am looking at a CAGOP Delegation list that is replete with Staffers and Political Consultants while long-time activists are being shut out completely. The Oligarchy of Controlled Failure is in full swing, as long as the cash flows, who cares about the results of the elections…
