McCarthy, Patterson, Ross, Munger, Schwarzenegger to RUN anti Newsom Redistricting Effort: California Republican Party NOT Part of the Real Effort
(Note: Tom Ross who is taking a leading role in the anti-Newsom Redistricting effort, is a consultant. For several years he was a designee of the Chair for Team Cal on the CRP Board. At the first meeting, an hour after the organizational convention ended, she fired the Chair of Team Cal—which raises money for the CRP (even though the bylaws say the Chair of Team Cal—not the CRP Chair—appoints the Team Cal Chair. When he spoke up against this, CRP Chair dressed Ross down and dismissed him)
Is the way Chair Rankin treated Team Cal Chair Tom McKernan and Tom Ross the reason the California Republican does not have a say in the management of the fight against Newsom? Is it part of the reason the Assembly and Senate Caucuses ENDED their financial arrangement with the CRP? (On Monday I will expose the CRP finances. A hint: In six weeks, from July 1 to August 14, the CRP went from $3.8 million cash on hand, to $2.94 million cash on hand.)
Outright Lie #1 / Lie of Omission #1: Frank writes that Tom Ross was fired by the CAGOP’s Board in violation of the CAGOP’s By-Laws. Ross’ lawyer did get involved, but they backed off of filing an actual lawsuit after lawyer letters were slung back and forth because Ross’ crew realized their position would not win in court (Steve has parroted their position repeatedly). As long as the Team Cal money is spent in accordance with its’ individual charter, the CAGOP’s board gets to pick the leadership. Steve Frank knows about the legal drama and has refused to write about it, including Ross and co. standing down – thus adding a lie of omission to the outright lie about the by-laws of the CRP.
Lie #2, when Tom Del Baccardi was chair and getting advice from Steve Frank, they attempted to take over Team Cal and did not have the support of the CAGOP’s board at the time. So, Mr. Frank’s duplicity is on full display. He knows the truth yet wrote what he wrote above. Lying is not a conservative value. This was not the first time it was attempted, but the first time it succeeded because Corrin Rankin had her ducks in a row.
Note: every bad thing I ever head about Mr. Ross came from Mr. Frank. I don’t know him that well, just that he is a moderate and a paid consultant. Thusly, it is absurd that Steve is now treating Ross like a victim, it sounds like the democrats protesting attempts to stem the crime wave in Washington D.C. Anything Trump tries to do, the democrats oppose, including 70% support issues. Anything Corrin does, Frank opposes.
Stupid Statement #1: Frank asks if the firing of Ross was part of the decision for Kevin McCarthy to set up an independent federal effort to oppose Gavin Newsom’s gerrymandering constitutional amendment. Kevin McCarthy would not walk across the street without Trump, Inc. telling him it is ok. Remember, McCarthy got run out as speaker of the house, but within mere months, Matt Gaetz who orchestrated McCarthy’s ouster was himself out of office too. If you think Trump, Inc. had nothing to do with that you are a fool. If you think McCarthy + the RNC is going to raise $100 Million for this without Trump’s advice and consent, you are Steve Frank.
Also note, that Corrin Rankin has been to Mar-A-Lago and is a hard-core Trumper with contacts throughout that team. As I wrote yesterday, nothing is as it seems.
The headline of his blog is an almost true statement. Charles Munger is a donor, not an employee of the effort. Arnold will likely be a campaign mouthpiece and his recent attacks on Trump vis a vis the meeting with Putin appear to be timed to allow him to appeal to trump haters. Ross and Patterson have been paid consultants of McCarthy’s crew for years, so nothing changes there.
Anyone that works for Trump, Inc. / McCarthy will make a ton of money off of the effort – hat tip to them. They had better succeed. (P.S. I endorse any and all legitimate efforts to oppose Gavin’s ballot measure) I am not being paid by anyone related to things CRP or the ballot effort.
Then Frank writes that he is going to expose the CRP’s finances. Since Mr. Frank has demonstrated an inability to read and write with integrity – my guess is he will post a bunch of stuff with cherry picked facts and inaccuracies. However, one thing everyone can know for certain is that the information he got – from which he will cook up his latest BBQ of BS – is from the current CAGOP Treasurer Jack Guerrero.
It is my opinion that Jack Guerrero lacks the courage to do the deed himself (aka blowing open the finances of the CAGOP) and is using Frank as the delivery vehicle. I can only conclude that Guerrero is getting ready to run for another office (on the heels of helping Jerry Brown appointed Supervisor Chuck Washington get re-elected in Riverside County despite the district being R-Leaning). Guerrero has never raised more than $35K for a run, including when he ran for State Treasurer. Washington raised about a Million all in. What is it? Is race #7 Congress this time for Guerrero?
I have been told by several (I have no direct proof – see the difference in how I am presenting this?) that Guerrero was asked to sign a Non Disclosure Agreement by CRP Staff. My guess is they anticipated everything CRP ending up in Steve Frank’s email inbox via Jack. This sounds plausible. Given that Guerrero has not done the financial reports, is reputed to be non communicative with staff and has not signed a single check, it makes this bit of hearsay very believable. I have no doubt that Jack refused to sign the NDA and has also refused to do his job. He was expelled from the Cudahy City Council a few years for missing meetings, then he carpet-bagged to Riverside County to help the GOP lose a supervisor race there.
Here’s the deal – I’ve been told that several of the above players and Molly Parnell have been attempting to interfere with the CRP raising money. I have worked with Parnell on campaigns (but I don’t say I agree with her on party stuff), and she is a professional, period. If you can hire Parnell to raise money for you, do it. These assertions by Frank about Patterson / Parnell in past blogs are false, had I been able to substantiate them, I’d have lit them all up myself.
Further, Corrin Rankin has Ron Nehring and Kevin Faulconer on her team, both have influence and networks of their own. I’ve been told they are telling people they are going to raise gobs of money of their own for a CRP led effort as well. Thusly, I am dubious at this time on any assertions about the CAGOP’s finances until everything comes out in the wash.
I have seen a long history of everyone CAGOP Related in and outside of the party over-promise and under-deliver. I want to be wrong. I want them all to succeed.
Some have attempted to add the issues with the “One Ask” program and the “leg” to this situation. Those issues are separate from anything related to the Newsom attempted re-draw of the Congressional Map. If you want to know why McCarthy and crew are leading the opposition, someone needs to call Trump, Inc. and ask why there is a separate effort going on. There are a ton of people in that orbit within the opposition that can get the frank truth from that crew in DC.
You deserve the frank truth, not a BBQ of BS.
Meantime, one can only conclude that Jack Guerrero and Steve Frank want to take down the CAGOP at a critical time when 5 seats in Congress are on the line. They should work for Thomas Massie with this mentality. Conservative Leaders should stand up to both of them and tell them to put a sock in it for the good of us all.
Aaron I am hearing from numerous sources that Rankin it likely going to have the rug pulled out from her and they are already in the process of vetting a new chairman. And it not the conservative wing that is behind it. But I am not on the inner circles and getting it 3rd and 4th person. BTW You left out Rexroad. He is somehow involved in defeating Newsum’s district changes and the CRP…but again that is 3rd person. Rexroad is many things, but conservative is not one of them. But don’t try to hang this on Steve Frank…The conservatives are not behind was is going on.. at least from what I have been led to believe to be true.
lol
Wow……maybe some you should check Mr. Sherpa’s X account on his take of The Party, lol.
Hella humorous, and telling…….
What I don’t get, is WHERE are the law suites to STOP what people are calling, illegal act….where are they?
YOU PEOPLE, know full well, IF Republicans signed for something they didn’t like, it be tied up in court before the ink dried.
This all smell of bs……..words, no actions.
Smh
Who is Andrew Lawson?
Is there an emergency meeting tomorrow….?
IS Rankin. Demo I drag, per her stances on abortion AND her voting record of the past?

Shameful……again, 10 YEARS with no audit, is bordering on criminal negligence.
Leadership needs to fix the issue, before they’re attached to it by the hip.
(Holds up Steve Frank photo) Back! Back foul beastie!!
Blogger states:
“Also note, that Corrin Rankin has been to Mar-A-Lago and is a hard-core Trumper with contacts throughout that team. As I wrote yesterday, nothing is as it seems.”
Please provide real evidence to back up that statement. It will be important moving forward.
Medoly…She is not a real Trump supporter (neither is Arron Park). It is made to look that way but she was not a Trump supporter way back. They are playing politics. Its like ‘I have been to Yellowstone, so now I am a big nature lover’….if you get my jest?
What is really going on is ‘higher ups’ have no trust of confidence in Rankin and can not lose this redistricting fight this November. It is too big a risk to take…..So they are bringing in their own team. (Ya might call it a shadow CRP) And cash heavy ($130 million so far) and no way will they trust Rankin and the current CRP with that kind of cash.
Charlie stated:
“What is really going on is ‘higher ups’ have no trust of confidence in Rankin and can not lose this redistricting fight this November.”
Funny that any sane person would even imagine that we the people would “lose this redistricting fight” to anyone. This redistricting is DOA in CA and EVERYBODY KNOWS IT! It’s not popular with any demographic of voter as a whole and is most likely not allowed by law. The question is who is making money off this grift?
So let’s go! Mobilize the ridicule of ANY person giving any creedence to the idea of redistricting via special election submitted to the people. Ha! We already have a committee for that.
Anyone else notice Venezuela and voting machines in the news? I’m sure Trump knows who Heider Garcia is. Do you? You will. They thought they were protected. They thought they were hidden. They were wrong. Sunlight disinfects. Come on Ryan, we,’ve got your back.
Good Lord, no wonder why people tell me they read my blog for the comments. I gotta buy stock in Kraft Foods quick! (They hold the patent on Kool-Aid)
Aaron— Flavor Aid….in Jonestown its was Flavor Air (not Kool Aid) lol
cracks me up every time, lolol
LAWD this is funny………serious, but funny!! What I’ve BEEN saying about our Opposition!
https://capoliticalnewsandviews.com/eber-hobsons-choice-demos/?utm_source=rss&utm_medium=rss&utm_campaign=eber-hobsons-choice-demos
Is this true too? Or IS Steve Frank lying?? Come on Aaron…what’s the word??
Wait……..pundits have informed ME, you’re on the payroll of the Party Chariwoman…..
‘allegedly’…….
https://capoliticalnewsandviews.com/heard-on-the-tom-toms-259/?utm_source=rss&utm_medium=rss&utm_campaign=heard-on-the-tom-toms-259
did THAT really happen?? IS Franks Lying?? hmmm, how would WE KNOW, if you report on it……?? Are YOU lying? HAVE you lied?? So much distrust now, you have NO idea who to trust anymore, and then folks wonder WHY…….lolol
This, is the stuff that makes good movies!!
lastly:
Porter is at 18% in polling, so they say.
Hilton………12% and holding……….HA!! that’s funny.
We’re being directed, to put a BRIT EXPAT into our States Governor chair………..
WHO CLAIMS, he renounced his BRITISH Citizenship for a US one…………
That, btw, is false. He’s holding DUAL Citizenship.
Amazing……………………simply, amazing.
If we LOSE a winnable race, don’t blame machines, grassroots candidates or anything else…………..THE PARTY will be the reason, if ANY of this is true……
Fighting to stay in the LOSER column, is beyond me…………..smh
When people tell you they read your blog for the comments, it is not a compliment.
Melody…if you think the redisticting plan has not chance ” This redistricting is DOA in CA and EVERYBODY KNOWS IT!” ….You better read this: https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/politics/gavin-newsom-s-redistricting-ballot-measure-chances-of-passing-new-poll/ar-AA1KTiaI?ocid=msedgntp&pc=U531&cvid=19076c8a8e744903f10adaacafe19c4f&ei=9
An MSNBC poll? Reallg Charlie? How about linking to a legal document?
Is there someone who can link to a legal doc that talks about overruling the redistricting committee that we voted to enshrine into law? Maybe public statements from those committee members regarding taking away their authority? Anything?
Polls. Thought we were over the validity of polls in the fake news.
Melody…the point is we have a fight on our hands and we should not ‘blow it off’ and say its not important. Only a fool would do or say that.

Executive Office of Governor Ron DeSantis

Candidate for California State Governor
20 AUG 2025
To Governor Ron DeSantis, the families of those killed in the horrible accident on August 12th 2025, and the citizens of Florida,
On behalf of the citizens of California, please accept my sincerest apologies and deepest sympathies, for the loss of your citizens due to a horrific circumstance and accident.
This incident, was completely avoidable.
Words fall far short, of what you and your citizens deserve for explanations as well as being able to comfort those families now suffering through their tragic loss. One cannot fathom, the impact of the moment, for three lives suddenly torn asunder and ended, on a beautiful day in which all three of those killed, should have been enjoying.
I am only a candidate, but I feel compelled to respond to this incident, in part because our Governor has failed to bring himself to do so. As a Governor, it would seem this would have been the respectful and decent thing to do, at a minimum. Instead, posting on X, allowing DMV officials to answer/respond in his stead, are all he deems “worthy” for an explanation if any. The people of Florida deserve better, those impacted deserve better, and you as their Representative, deserve better and more.
If elected, I will ensure our Department of Motor Vehicles enacts immediate changes towards the issuance of Truck Licenses provided to applicants. We will work with Federal Authorities to ensure goals are in-line with requirements and minimum standards required for such vehicles. Testing will be stressed as will English competency and basic understandings of Rules of the Road as well as simple Sign knowledge.
What happened to your State, I will strive to ensure is NOT duplicated in any other State in our Nation, because of failures within our California system of license issuance. I would NOT wish to see, states invalidate our Trucking industries licensing, due to this type of mismanagement and political game playing, via the Sanctuary State status.
Enough is enough. WE as citizens, deserve better. The lives of those lost, should be the wake up call for everyone to understand the gravity of the moment, and strive to make the necessary adjustments as needed, required and demanded. Not just for those who’s lives are now lost, but to prevent any further loss of life due to political negligence or expediency.
To this end, and towards this end, you have my word, California WILL make the changes required.
Please pass along this message to those impacted, to your fellow Citizens as well.
“Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted.” – Matthew 5:4
Thank you Governor DeSantis and the people of Florida, for your time and considerations of this message, from my State to yours.
Sincerely,
Leo Naranjo IV
Candidate for California State Governor 2026
Newsom said there is an “emergency” in California. Does anybody else think that Texas redistricting has created an emergency here in California? How disingenuous of our governor to throw around a word like “emergency”. Is this a tell for the panic and fear only one party has in this state? Why are they starting to panic? Some know. Some here are mum on the real reason. Why just the four So Cal Republicans at the Supreme Court hearing? What organization provides legal counsel for state assembly members and senators? Yep, that’s right, the Rep caucus provides it. And who was in charge of drafting the language of the legal challenge at the Supreme court that Republicans lost? What dog is not barking?
Smart people in the know read this blog (for comments) and might have some wisdom to impart on the comment-readers.
And what affect will Kiley’s bill in U.S. House have on California if it passes? To be honest, Kiley’s bill looks like federal overreach-which is the exact optics CA Dems would relish.
Where is the outrage from the Redistricting Committee? Does anyone have any info on statements from the committee members? Or are they gagged?
anyone care to comment on THIS:

California GOP County Chairmans Association Resolution: Condemning the California Republican Party State Leadership for the Wrongful Removal and Partial Reinstatement of Marin County Republican Central Committee Delegates
Almost NEVER does one GOP organization condemn another GOP organization. But in this case the California GOP County Chairmans Association had to call out the CRP and its Leadership for the manipulation of votes, delegates and elections.
The headline says it all. The last CRP organizational convention was manipulated so that the “Leadership” could win. How? By not allowing elected County Chairs from Marin and Monterey being seated. By allowing Fresno to lock out members, preventing them to vote, then not allowing Ex Officios from voting—and more. Just these votes, if properly seated, would have changed the election of the Chair of Chairs. This and other manipulations, could have changed the election of the Chair of the CRP. Vince Fong was allowed to appoint delegates for being the Assembly nominee AND the Congressional nominee—others that had the ability to appoint based on two positions, were not allowed.
“WHEREAS, the California Republican County Chairmen’s Association (CCA) has determined that CRP state leadership removed nine delegates from the Marin County Republican Central Committee (MCRCC) based on false testimony from the former MCRCC Chairman; and
WHEREAS, the former MCRCC Chairman falsely described the MCRCC Organizational Meeting as a “mob and a riot,” a claim disproven by video evidence showing no such disorderly conduct occurred; and
WHEREAS, this false testimony was the basis for removing the nine duly elected MCRCC delegates, thereby unjustly disenfranchising them and undermining the party’s internal democratic process; and
WHEREAS, after the MCRCC appealed, the CRP reinstated only two of the nine delegates—without a clear explanation for this partial remedy—leaving seven delegates wrongfully excluded; and”
The Resolution passed by the County Chairs Association Monday night is not just about Marin County. It is about your County and the Democrat tactics used to keep control of the California Republican Party. It is time to speak up. Just as Newsom does not want honest elections in California, some do not want honest elections in the California Republican Party.

Resolution of the California Republican County Chairmen’s Association
Condemning the California Republican Party State Leadership for the Wrongful Removal and Partial Reinstatement of Marin County Republican Central Committee Delegates
WHEREAS, the California Republican Party (CRP) is entrusted with upholding fair representation, democratic processes, and the principles of integrity and unity within the Republican Party in California; and
WHEREAS, the California Republican County Chairmen’s Association (CCA) has determined that CRP state leadership removed nine delegates from the Marin County Republican Central Committee (MCRCC) based on false testimony from the former MCRCC Chairman; and
WHEREAS, the former MCRCC Chairman falsely described the MCRCC Organizational Meeting as a “mob and a riot,” a claim disproven by video evidence showing no such disorderly conduct occurred; and
WHEREAS, this false testimony was the basis for removing the nine duly elected MCRCC delegates, thereby unjustly disenfranchising them and undermining the party’s internal democratic process; and
WHEREAS, after the MCRCC appealed, the CRP reinstated only two of the nine delegates—without a clear explanation for this partial remedy—leaving seven delegates wrongfully excluded; and
WHEREAS, this failure to reinstate all nine delegates erodes trust in the CRP’s commitment to fairness, transparency, and accountability, and undermines the party’s ability to unify and represent Republicans across California; and
WHEREAS, the CCA is committed to ensuring that all county-level Republican organizations, including the MCRCC, receive fair representation and that CRP decisions are based on verified facts and due process;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the CCA condemns the CRP state leadership for removing nine MCRCC delegates based on false testimony and for failing to fully reinstate them following the appeal; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the CCA calls on CRP state leadership to immediately reinstate the remaining seven MCRCC delegates to their rightful positions, restoring full representation for Marin County Republicans; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the CCA demands a clear and transparent explanation from CRP state leadership for its decision to reinstate only two delegates, including why a full reinstatement was not granted; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the CCA urges CRP state leadership to review the video evidence of the MCRCC Organizational Meeting and to adopt procedures ensuring that future delegate decisions are based on verified evidence and transparent processes; and
BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED, that a copy of this resolution be distributed to the CRP Executive Committee, all county Republican Party organizations, and made publicly available to promote transparency and foster accountability within the California Republican Party.
Adopted by the California Republican County Chairmen’s Association on August 18, 2025.
Signed,
John Dennis

I surfaced it up as a POTENTIAL California liability for stupid policies………and was probably viewed as an “idiot” by some here and others elsewhere.
Funny huh…………who’s laughing now.
This could have happened anywhere, at any time at any place….but it didn’t.
IT HAPPENED in FL, as described, and we NOW face impacts for Politicians playing stupid games.
If elected, DMV WILL be fixed to prevent these types of Eff ups……..

UPDATES AND UNFINISHED BUSINESS
Over the years I have exposed the policies and secrecy of Jessica Patterson, Corrin Rankin, Roxanne Hoge, Liz Kolstad, the abuse of the members of the Marin Central Committee. I exposed the former Chair of the San Benito Central Committee, moving his organization meeting from a public place, to his private home, then informing the Regional Vice Chair of the CRP, at the time Randall Jordan, that if he tried to attend the meeting, he would be arrested. (that is why the meeting was moved to Rob Bernowskys home).
Not ONCE have any of the above asked for a correction. NOT ONCE. Last week I wrote about the shenanigans at the Fresno Central Committee, how members that arrived “late” were not allowed in. Since then, people have come forward with more information.
Normally, the Fresno Committee held its meetings in a church. For the organizational meeting this year, it was moved, without a vote, to the business of the Chair Liz Kolstad. The meeting was to start at 6:00pm, but apparently there is a video showing armed security guards locking the door at 5:58. Some have called me, who were inside the room. They informed me that a member was about to leave the building. And, someone went to open the door. At which time, the Chair, Liz Kolstad announced, “no one can leave till after we take the vote”.
We also found that an L.A. attorney, Brad Hertz was paid close to $1,000 to send a cease and desist order to members of the Committee. No vote was taken to approve this letter; it was done in secret from the members. Now we find out an attorney was paid, what appears to be a retainer of $7-10,000. The source of the money is not known—we do know that is not in the budget.
Was it paid for by the Fresno CC? The CRP? We do not know. But, we are following up on another county that wants to change its by-laws, just like Frenso, without a vote of the members. In that case it is said, that since that Committee has no money, the CRP is going to hire attorneys to take it to court, if needed, to change the by-laws. In a few days, I will be exposing that county and issue.
As for the Fresno budget? It was presented by the Chair—verbally, not in writing, the members were not given a copy of the proposed budget. After the Chair gave a few numbers, they had a vote.
Here is the good news. Fresno has approximately $14,000 in its Federal account, $7,000 in its FPPC account—and paying $3200 a month to pay for a communications director to focus on social media and the web site. So, they need money.
On Thursday, August 21, a day AFTER I spoke in both Clovis and Sanger, the Fresno CC sent out a notice. It informed people that on September 25 they would hold a Gala—just 35 days after the notice. As of the night before, the members of the Committee knew nothing about the event, nor had they approved it.
The cost of the event is $275 a ticket—all the way up to $10,000 for a sponsorship. THE LOCATION OF THE EVENT WAS NOT GIVEN. THE NAME OF THE SPEAKER WAS NOT GIVEN. NOT EVEN WHAT THE MEAL TO BE SERVED WAS GIVEN.
Leo as far as I know its true….and there is more that Steve has not printed. I should stay mumm on it.
Leo, I just posted this, in addition to Steve’s other observations on his ‘Heard on the Tom/Toms’ sight.

Steve, don’t forget the debacle and takeover of the Sacramento County Committee, by breaking CRP bylaws and refusing to seat the Exoffico Members. This caused the moderate ‘insider’ to win and appoint all their state delegates to the Cabal supporting Rankin.

IS ANYBODY RUNNING THE CALIFORNIA REPUBLICAN PARTY?
Early yesterday morning I received an email from a delegate asking if I knew that HARMEET DHILLON had cancelled her brunch speech on Saturday at the convention. I asked how did she know, and she forwarded an email from a CRP staff member. I immediately sent an email to the appropriate CRP person, asking who is replacing Harmeet. As of late Monday night, no response, not even “we do not know” or “this is not true.”
Here is the email received from a CRP delegate:
“Katy Davis with the convention told me. I told her I want to buy a table for the brunch. Here is her email:
Hi xxxx,
I wanted to let you know that, unfortunately, Harmeet Dhillon is no longer available and will not be able to speak at the Brunch.
Thank you so much for your understanding.
Best,
Katy Davis”
This is the email I sent to Scott Winn, the CRP CEO/ED (similar to the email I sent at 11:31 to a Deputy of Mr. Winn’s) :

Earlier today I was informed that Harmeet Dhillon had cancelled being the Saturday brunch speaker. I then contacted Danielle to find out who is replacing Harmeet. So far no answer. Still looking for a name to promote.
Thanks for your help.

Why no response? I know that the CRP has not been good in responding to emails or phone calls. But, not responding to something of this magnitude? Is it a game they are playing? Do they not have an answer?
In a couple of days, I will have background on this—and the rest of the convention.
Both the Assembly and Senate Caucuses have withdrawn their money from the California Republican Party. At least $2 million since mid May. They have set up their own PAC.
The CRP by-laws says that every year the finances are to be audited. The audit is to completed and presented to the Board by July 31—almost a month ago. So far, the Chair has not even requested the Board approve a firm to do the audit. This is the TENTH year with no audit!
The Chair, Corrine Rankin, without notice or approval of the Board signed a contract for $10,000 for a friend (who according to Corrine gave us a discount) to sing the National Anthem at the Saturday dinner.
Why is the $10,000 important? Previously I reported that the CRP went from $3.8 million cash on hand, to $2.9 million, cash on hand. That is not the whole story. Much of that money is in restricted accounts. The real question that should be asked is how much is left in the “OPERATING” account? Much less.
The Bylaws are clear—the delegates are to receive a copy of the proposed by-law amendments TWENTY days before the convention. We are ELEVEN days before the convention and they have not been sent. The proposed by-laws are on the CRP website–but the bylaws are clear–they have to be SENT to the delegates. How many know to look at the website for the proposed by law amendments or the Resolutions. If they were going to change the process, they should have informed us–or is this just another game being played? Here is the by-law provision:
“Section 5.01 NOTICES Proposed amendments to the standing rules and bylaws shall be submitted in writing to the Chairman no fewer than forty days prior to a meeting or convention of the Committee, who shall submit them to the Board of Directors within three business days. The Chairman shall refer proposed amendments to the Rules Committee for consideration. Notice of any proposals submitted shall be given to the delegates no fewer than twenty days prior to a meeting or convention of the Committee.”
Were I the Parlimentarian I would rule that NONE of the proposals could be heard by the Rules Committee based on this violation.
We also receive the proposed Resolutions twenty Days prior to the convention. No one has received as well. When I say NO ONE, I mean it—the members of the Resolutions committee have not received them—but are going to hold a SECRET Resolutions Committee meeting this Thursday via ZOOM. As of this writing the delegates have not been invited to participate in this meeting. Isn’t this how the Democrats held secret meetings to determine the maps to hold a Nov. 4 special election.
As of today, 11 days before the Friday dinner, no announcement of who the speaker will be—or that there is NO speaker. Instead, bring your dancing shoes—from 8-10PM there will be the “Chairwoman’s’ Ball”. I understand the hospitality suites will not be allowed to start till 10:00pm—CRP, is this correct?
Several months ago Scott Winn, CEO/ED told the county chairs the CRP was going to stop sending GOP registration information to the Radical, Progress, Bernie Sander “Rock the Vote”. All it would take is having the CRP break the link. As of last night the CRP is still in partnership, on the CAGOP website with this radical group.
“By continuing, you accept Rock the Vote’s Privacy Policy and agree to receive occasional election reminder emails from Rock the Vote. You can opt out from emails at any time.” Note the CRP is allowing the Crockett/AOC/Newsom clique will SEND people who register GOP a bunch of emails—think those emails will be supportive of President Trump or Republicans?
What else are they keeping from us? See the top of the article for an example. More in the coming days.
(Tomorrow a real background on the politics, not policy, of the Saturday Dinner speaker)
I ask again, IS ANYBODY RUNNING THE CALIFORNIA REPUBLICAN PARTY?
**************************************************************************
Yes Leo, I am aware. The CRP is basically dysfunctional now or challenged at best (but that is my opinion). Note ‘Chairwoman’s Ball’ is the best they have, where the Tea Party Caucus Dinner has the Superintendent of Public Instruction candidate speaking, both Bianco and Hiton speaking and the Senior Counsel for the Pacific Justice Insitute speaking… Even more want too…but the speaking slots are full. Again, Steve is only scratching the surface of what is going on. If you buy a ticket for the Tea Party Dinner you can get recognized on the dinner floor…but they are now turning down additional speakers (time limits)
