Update on Save the CAGOP Platform Movement: Momentum is Growing

Blogger’s Note: This whole effort would not be necessary if the Chairwoman of the CAGOP would engage and do what Jim Brulte did 4 years ago. Why she has said nothing is beyond me, as this debate is destructive to the CAGOP cause.

Dear CAGOP Delegate,

We wanted to express our heartfelt gratitude to you for joining the mission to save our bold, unmistakable California Republican Party platform from being watered down to the “pale pastels” that President Reagan warned us about. Thank you for joining the fight to stand firm in our core beliefs!

Since last Friday, scores of delegates, including esteemed legislators and grassroots leaders, have rallied behind our cause. Your unwavering support demonstrates the strength and unity within our Party when we unite around our fundamental values.

To ensure that the CAGOP remains a stronghold of conservative values, we must expand our coalition. As you’ve seen in the original email, it’s crucial that more voices join our cause, fortifying our resolve to uphold these principles.

We are calling on each of you to assist us by sharing the original email we sent (SEE BELOW) with fellow delegates and elected officials in our Party network. Encourage them to join our mission by adding their signatures. Together, we can make a resounding statement about our commitment to preserving our platform. We are deeply grateful for your support and assistance in this matter.

Respectfully,

  1. That’s a good question. Can anyone, ANYONE, with any street credentials?, background, education, time-in-party-politics, IN THE KNOW, explain WHY the Chairwoman of the GOP is silent? IS SHE behind this? Is someone SHE fronts, behind this?
WHO actually wrote this garbage of a platform up? WHY, have no names been dropped, over this issue? Our chapter chairman, Justin Hardcastle, let us know about this, but I don’t recall names being dropped as to WHOM proposed this mess.
Lotta people signing up against the changes, I’ll say that.
But NO CHAIRWOMAN making noises about it. Why? Why not? Has anyone asked her for an opinion? Has anyone TRIED to ask her for an opinion? She has people up there, so why haven’t THEY said anything? Are they being silenced? Kept/held to silence?

If the “fix is in”, party politics in this state will suck more than they already do now. If comments ON this topic are any indication of other than ‘blowing hot wind’, plan on seeing a drop in REPUB support from top/local/numerous donors. Some have already said as much. Sanchez and Nguyen have sign on, that’s odd, given how they’ve been reported on. Maybe this is just a local issue, cause why are they’re no heavy hitters on this list? (Congressional nor Senatorial names).
Candidates will be faced with a handicap from the getgo with this. Something is amiss here. I hope someone with guts and nerve, speaks up about the WHO on this topic. I don’t know if I really care about the WHY, but so be it. It be nice to understand the explanation for that as well.
Short of that, and the crickets you’re hearing, Good Luck for the teams going down to fight against this! We can hardly wait for the end results! (While some of us are waiting to see if we go to work on Monday or not)
