The 1990’s era consultants do not deviate from their pattern. They copy other candidate’s stuff in a zero-sum-game mentality of trying to cancel out their opponent’s perceived advantage.

They are also very keen on abusing incumbency. (I still remember the 1.2 Million pieces of constituent mail that Beth Gaines sent out while in office)

In this case, when they are not handing the keys of the CAGOP to Kevin Faulconer (their next paycheck), they are also abusing the resources of the CAGOP to boost the sagging re-election Campaign of Jessica Patterson.

10 County GOP’s with no elected members that they stripped of representation to the state party making re-building a local party that much more difficult. (in 2019, there were 5 dead county parties)

2 lost assembly seats

2 lost senate seats

A net loss of 1.2 Million registrations

State Party runs out of unrestricted candidate dollars in early October.

As they say, the game is afoot. It is also a clear indicator that the Chairwoman is not secure in her re-election. Very interesting indeed.
