Stan Sniff Update: Ummm Stanley, How About a Fact-Check on the “Biblical” Amounts of Money…

by | Oct 3, 2018 | 2018 Elections, Riverside County Sheriff's Race, Stan Sniff | 3 comments

Stan Sniff complains that his second place finish in the primary, where less than one-third of the voters selected him for re-election was due to what he calls “massive, biblical-sized special interest money” supporting the first placed challenger, Lt. Sheriff Chad Bianco.

Sniff tries to make $1 million sound like some crazy amount he’s never seen in politics.

Sniff prefers to be the only one with adequate resources to compete in a county-wide election.

Sniff out-spent his opponents 3:1 in 2010 and 6:1 in 2014.

Sniff has been raising campaign contributions for the last 4 years, running as the twice-elected incumbent – a luxury that his opponents never had.

Sniff pats himself on the back, writing, “The Sheriff’s Department is incredibly well-run…”. It seems like the voters don’t believe you, Sniffy.

Let’s get back to the campaign contribution issues:

According to official reports filed by both Sniff and Bianco and signed under penalty of perjury, here’s Sniffy once again being blatantly dishonest with the media.

As of 9/22/2018, Sniff has spent $794,880 on his re-election campaign and has $147,939 remaining.

As of 9/22/2018, Bianco has spent $821,562 for this election, and has $140,946 remaining, after subtracting outstanding bills.

Once again, Sniff is deceiving the voters.  Bianco spent just $27,000 more on his campaign than Sniff did.

Does Sniff truly believe that 2/3 of all voters were swayed by just $27,000

If so, that may explain a lot about Sniff’s campaign and political acumen. However, we must forgive Sniff for his ignorance using a “biblical” reference when it comes to comparing Sniff’s and Bianco’s campaign spending. With Sniff being an avowed atheist, he may truly believe that $27,000 lead by Bianco is in fact a “biblical” difference.

  1. Dear Sheriff,
You better understand your troops are no longer afraid of you. I have not seen these many employees take a stand and spread the word to vote for Bianco. Last election, no one had the balls to even whisper Bianco’s name because of you. The reason why you placed second was because your troops are announcing to the whole county who they need as their new boss. Money has very little to do with winning the election. It’s the testimonies and experiences your troops have endured under your tyrinical reign that is turning the tide.
I also believe for the time, God wanted you to win the last election so that you would be exposed as the corrupt politician you really are. You have no where to hide. The more you fight against the inevitable, the more you will keep exposing your scaly lizard skin.

  2. Hey Sniffles,

The last two times you ran, you had absolutely no qualms about taking hundreds of thousands of dollars from so-called “special interests.”

It leads one to believe that you don’t necessarily object to “special interest” campaign cash – as long as the cash goes into your campaign account and not your opponents.

Your short-man “Napoleon” complex is clearly evident. It’s too bad your career will end with you being fired by the voters. You will be remembered as nothing more than a c__stain on the mattress of Riverside County history.

You have held numerous positions of power and responsibility but you forgot where you came from. You distanced yourself from your own troops and ultimately began acting as if they were the enemy.

Remember, you are the one that changed and let your ego get the better of you. The fine men and women of the department will continue giving their all for the public good and you will leave office as one of the most despised and reviled sheriffs ever.

  3. Stan Sniff is some evil individual.
