Then I did some research to figure out who Greg Pettis is (other than an extreme left wing moonbat). I came up with this article:
A Cathedral City councilman charged at least $92,000 to a city-issued credit card and traveled the country even as the city laid off police and firefighters, The Desert Sun reported.
Greg Pettis, who filed personal bankruptcy in 2010, traveled to Washington DC, Las Vegas, Orlando and elsewhere attending conferences on the city’s behalf, according to the newspaper.
From The Desert Sun:
“Pettis and city officials say the councilman or other intragovernmental associations to which he belongs eventually repaid Cathedral City for some of the travel expenses, but Pettis and city officials gave conflicting or incomplete accounts of his financial arrangements during a series of interviews with The Desert Sun.”
“According to the records provided to The Desert Sun by Cathedral City, from 2009 to 2012, Cathedral City received $49,000 in reimbursements for Pettis’ travel. The city did not provide records for 2008. The city also set aside $13,800 from the general fund for Pettis to travel during the five years The Desert Sun analyzed — money the city budgeted with the expectation it would not be repaid.
“That leaves $29,000 charged to Pettis’ MasterCard that is unaccounted for. Nothing in the documents obtained by The Desert Sun through a series of public records requests indicate any of those remaining travel costs were repaid. If not, Pettis’ claim that everything was reimbursed isn’t accurate.”
It’s not uncommon for elected officials to travel the country to attend various conferences by the National League of Cities and other groups. Such trips, elected leaders say, help them at their jobs they learn skills they can use back home. They add that visits to Sacramento and Washington often lead to money being awarded for new roads and other projects.

You will note that the Desert Sun pulled their article about Pettis. Why did they do this? Was it because they later endorsed him? Was it to protect Stan Sniff from criticism once Pettis endorsed Sniff? The Desert Sun has been overtly partisan in this Sheriff’s Tilt.
The bottom line is that Pettis’ bankruptcy and maladies are referenced in other articles as well. In an article about a change of City Manager in Cat City was this gem:

Greg Pettis is free to choose to support the Corrupt Sheriff. That is his right. What he is not free to do however is render moral judgement when his own personal history within the last 10 years is replete with issues of character. When looking at Greg Pettis’ endorsement, we could almost add him to the “Felons for Sniff” category, but he appears to be another bitter old corrupt relic of politics past when you could play fast and loose with the perks of office (in stan’s case, literally) and never get called on it.
The one time the Desert Sun actually did call him on it, they removed their own story, not realizing that the Press-Enterprise memorialized it forever.
Every time Stan Sniff touts and endorsement lately, it seems there is a truckload of baggage with it.
What is Sniff going to do with all that control???

Sniff and his crooked cronies are desperate because Sniff is nothing more than a power hungry politician. Chad Bianco has the support of virtually EVERY police officer and deputy sheriff in the entire county and Sniff has NONE of their support because he is a FAILURE. He has failed every member of the department and every citizen of this county.
Don’t forget about Sniff’s crying little trolls who he has constantly creeping on social media. It wouldn’t surprise me if Kurly and his 10 or 12 fake FB names continue crying and complaining on FB.
It’s time to drain the swamp and Kurly should be one of the first LIARS flushed down that drain! 14 days left, the men and women of RSO can’t wait for that day to arrive.

The Desert Sun is horrid and has been for years. That Brent guy was bad and the guy who did the Kurly story is even worse. I saw a recent poll that showed that in excess of 60% of United States citizens distrust the media. Even as bad as that is, that is still. 59% higher trust level than deputies have in Stan Sniff.
Raymond Gregory. I should have known his hands were in the Kurly debacle. There are legendary stories of retaliation at his hands. If you were in his club then you were golden. If you weren’t then standby to standby. Enjoy freeway therapy (yes peple it does exist) or prepare to be towed and stored in a jail assignmwnt for half a decade. He is slimy enough to arrange that meeting.
I recently saw a Facebook post showing Stan attacking Bianco for taking RSO money. I recall that when I was living in LQ a certain Sniff Sr running for city council. I also recall that person campaigning on the fact RSA endorsed him and sure enough he was given 10,000 by RSA. So Sniff Sr AND Sniff Jr have taken money from RSA but shame on Bianco for doing it. The Sniff family is a JOKE.
There are stories of Stan Sniff traveling to Sacramento under the TSA “LEO” program to bypass the checkpoint and other requirements for travel. Granted it was for business, but as a politican he should have known better and should have traveled like normal passengers because this is usually reserved for staff members conducting extraditions that need to fly armed and not just to lobby for whatever like he was doing in Sacramento. And I also hear the second floor knew about this, but did nothing about it, which is a neglect of duty, and their excuse of “serving the office of Sheriff” by supporting the Stan Sniff does not mean they look the other way to support misconduct being committed, that is complicity in malfeasance by an officeholder.
Aaron, you also need to check on Sniff the shit supporters who also travel under the TSA ” LEO” program who are Infragard Members to bypass the checkpoint.

Hell, he’s bent the rules so much and has led with fear and intimidation, I’m sure he’s scared for what comes after he is ousted and has nothing to look forward to except free coffee and McDonald’s.
