Note – there are several still living former RSO employees who have not gotten their retirement badges. In fact, it is the knowledge of this blogger that the badges were indeed destroyed by Sheriff’s Admin in retaliation against specific retirees for their opposition to the Sheriff and his crew.
That said, we’ve documented a pattern of the Sheriff using injured employees as political props and then of course promotees as well.
Note that Sniff is smiling in the photo. Similar to his habit of being “touchy” with female supporters in photos – is smiling at the presentation of this memorial appropriate? (Especially since it is the same painted on smile commonly seen from him)
This photo would not otherwise be a big deal were it not for the fact that in the last 12 months there have been three untimely deaths of current / former RSO employees. (There is a 4th if you include the Palm Springs Officer who was married to an RSO employee when she was murdered) Stan Sniff did not go to any of the funerals.
Kyleen Coogan did, but she never called Sniff out for skipping out on them. At least while trying to make herself look good from the situations, she showed up.
Now – add this to the well documented pattern of Sheriff’s Admin’s meddling in worker’s comp claims and abuses of process in settlements and employment practices lawsuits and the pattern is set in. Sniff does not care about his men unless there is a political nexus for him to benefit from it.
Sniffcompoop’s Johnny Come Lately tactics are not going to save his campaign. He has proven not to care about the troops-only homeself and his tight reign on RSO. This gesture comes almost half a year after Tony passed? NEVER attended the funeral?
Hey Sniff, THAT’S when you honor your fallen brothers and sisters (or as you see them, “the help”) not several months later when you’re 31%.
Still waiting to hear how you plan to make the department great again. No memos to the troops? No message from the sheriff in the RSA rag either. Just silence.
Well, maybe several months after November you can tell the public what your plan would have been if you won.
No disrespect to Tony’s wife and daughter. Tony was a good person in my book.

He doesn’t go to funerals because he knows he’s a dishonored corrupt leader and nobody would respect his attendance. I didn’t get a retirement badge after 31 years of honorable service but I don’t care because S/Sniff has tarnished the RSD badge and it’s not something I would respect. Sniff chose a $50,000 donor who owned a Toyota dealership over me. Funny all of the administration vehicles were Toyota. Couldn’t be kickback in progress could it. Every day when I got outside I spit on the ground in Sniff’s and his weak subordinates honor. They gave their integrity away for him. Losers.
