Nice Hat.
With the El Dorado County Republican Party meeting specifically to render an endorsement in AD05, you’d think that Jason Paletta, hat and all, would have been there? Nope.
Your intrepid blogger received several calls that Paletta was at a local School Board Meeting. I get that Paletta is trying to lay claim to the groups allegedly backing Jonathan Zachreson (who has endorsed Joe Patterson for AD05, thank you for doing that, Jonathan).
Paletta was bloviating at a local school board meeting instead of attempting to make his case to the El Dorado County Republican Party. The lapse in judgment is #EPICFAIL worthy. Perhaps Paletta did not understand the stakes? Once again, allow your intrepid blogger to school yet another unprepared marginal candidate:
Now that the El Dorado GOP has endorsed Joe Patterson, the path is now clear for the CAGOP Board to endorse Joe Patterson.
What does this mean? Patterson will be on the ballot pamphlet as the endorsed GOP Candidate. Patterson will get “member communication” mail for pennies on the dollar, and Patterson will get access to all of the information the CAGOP has. While the CAGOP does not have much to offer in direct support – the bulk mail permit and the ballot pamphlet are worth tens of thousands of dollars in equivalent impact. (This is why David Stafford Reade is pulling out all the stops to try and screw the grassroots and Kevin Kiley as well)
By making a felony stupid decision to skip the El Dorado GOP meeting, Paletta just handed the above to Joe Patterson on a silver platter. Perhaps he should shred his candidate paperwork instead.

I believe this is misleading Jason Paletta’s intentions. So correct me if I am wrong. The way I see it is that Jason Paletta chose to go and support and stand up for the ongoing child abuse on our children rather than attend a GOP meeting seeking an endorsement? I think this decision shows that Jason Paletta’s heart is for our local corruption and standing with We The people rather than appeasing an establishment that is obviously broken.
Blogger’s Note: What is shows is a complete lack of a serious campaign on his part. He needed to contest the endorsement of Joe Patterson by the El Dorado GOP. Because Patterson got the endorsement he will get access to the entire party apparatus and makes him the prohibitive favorite to wipe up the floor with Paletta. The move on Jason’s part was stupid. Secondly, your ignorance shows as the El Dorado County GOP is as far away from the establishment as it gets. Many County Parties are at odds with the state party and the establishment… both Placer and El Dorado fit that description.
Lastly – the School Board Meeting Paletta was at? Three of those members received thousands of dollars in support from Joe Patterson for their campaigns in 2020. So no matter the spin, what Paletta did gained him nothing and cost him a ton. That is a clear #EPICFAIL. Thanks for visiting.
For correction on my recent reply I meant to say that Jason Paletta is against our local corruption.
As a longtime member of the san Diego County Republican Party Central Committee, When a Candidate dos not show up to speak to us at an endorsement meeting, That candidate is no longer considered serious. It is an epic failure for that candidate. Ep case in point: When Tim Donnelly (yes I know Aaron is not a fan, but he had many backers in the san Diego County Party) He decided it was more important to be at a fundraiser than our endorsement meeting) He was toast after that for the endorsement.AND THAT meant that he didn’t get any $ suppoert from our County Party – which meant he wasn’t on our mailer or get other support. Really dumb.
I am fine with Paletta (but I am not in his AD district also). But the CRP and the CRP endorsement system is broken…broken badly. Consultants and Staffers control the Party now!
