To condition the provision of premium and cost-sharing subsidies under the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act upon a certification that a program to verify household income and other qualifications for such subsidies is operational, and for other purposes…

Continuing Resolution HR 2775, October 2013.

The impasse over the continuing appropriations bill came to an end when, on the 16th day of the partial government shutdown, the House concurred in a Senate amendment that rewrote the House bill H.R. 2775, which had only contained a provision to prevent ObamaCare subsidies to individuals without verifying income, etc. As amended, the bill suspended the federal debt limit through February 7, 2014, and continued funding government operations through January 15, 2014 at the fiscal 2013 post-sequestration spending level. It did not include any provision to defund ObamaCare.

On October 16, 2013, Rep. Hal Rogers (R-Ky.) offered a motion to concur in the Senate amendment, and the House agreed to his motion by a vote of 285 to 144 (Roll Call 550). We have assigned pluses to the nays because the negotiated deal contained in this bill constituted a cave-in by 87 Republicans that ended the government shutdown as well as the Republican attempt to defund the unconstitutional ObamaCare law.

By voting yes on this Bill – Bera enabled Obama to suspend income verification requirements for Obamacare. Meaning people can lie to get premium welfare.

Of Course, this is one of many Votes HR45:

ObamaCare Repeal. This legislation (H.R. 45) would repeal the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (Public Law 111-148) and healthcare-related provisions in the Health Care and Education Reconciliation Act of 2010 (Public Law 111-152), which together are known as “ObamaCare.” This bill would also restore or revive the provisions of healthcare law amended or repealed by Public Laws 111-148 and 111-152 as if these two laws had never been enacted. Although this vote could be viewed as merely symbolic because it stood no chance of passage in the Senate, the upcoming ObamaCare-implementation train-wreck could still lead to the ultimate repeal of ObamaCare.

The House passed H.R. 45 on May 16, 2013 by a vote of 229 to 195 (Roll Call 154). We have assigned pluses to the yeas because ObamaCare is obviously unconstitutional, and it is causing healthcare costs to rise dramatically.

#CA07 Update: Ami Bera a Hypocrite on Budget Issues

Ami Bera released a new ad touting his support for “No Budget, No Pay.” However, Bera didn’t vote for a single budget last spring or earlier this year, despite having 12 budgets to choose from.

When will Ami Bera give back his taxpayer-funded salary for breaking his promise to support a budget?

It’s deceitful for Ami Bera to support ‘No Budget, No Pay’ legislation when he refused to support every budget this year. Ami Bera should immediately forfeit his taxpayer-funded salary for breaking his promise to his constituents.

#CA07: Fraud Doctor Update: When Feeling Vulnerable, Swing Wide Left

Karen Bass. Yup, she is coming out to tell women that women’s rights are all about abortion. I take note that the far left never talk about rape, abuse, mutilation in the middle east, just abortion. Then, they hammer the issue while Republicans either go Todd Akin or they run and hide like cowards.

Today is International Women’s Day – a time to make vital progress on women’s rights around the world.

In honor of this day, I co-hosted a congressional briefing with my colleague Congresswoman Karen Bass and Planned Parenthood earlier this week on the importance of international family planning – a key aspect of women’s equality.

As a Member of the House Foreign Affairs Committee I’m proud to have worked with Rep. Bass to shine a light on issues of concern to women around the world including maternal health, violence against women, and gender discrimination.

Though we have come a long way in this struggle in the U.S., we’re not finished yet. Right here at home, women are still paid less than men for doing the same work, reproductive rights are still being challenged and attacked far too often, and many women lack access to basic health care.

(Bera supported Obamacare and even helped shut the government down over it. Now that people are losing insurance by the millions, he is trying to make people believe he opposes it now.)

As a son, husband, and father of a daughter, I have spent my life surrounded by strong women. Fighting for women and families is a deeply personal issue for me.

When women are treated fairly in the workplace and are paid equally for equal work, families and our economy are better off.

That’s why I’m supporting the When Women Succeed, America Succeeds economic agenda in Congress. This agenda is designed to help ensure women and families everywhere are given a fair shake.

A key piece of this agenda is the Paycheck Fairness Act – a bill that strengthens protections for working women by providing incentives for equal pay for equal work and banning retaliation against workers who expose discriminatory pay gaps. (this bill is a lawyer’s dream – it set’s arbitrary and nebulous standards and will only drive up the cost of doing business)

The When Women Succeed, America Succeeds economic agenda is crucial to helping women and families everywhere achieve economic security and peace of mind.

Listening to you is my most important job, and I hope to see you next Saturday.

The Fraud Doctor is getting desperate – he is pushing Abortion on Demand to solidify his base and attempting to perpetrate the war on women lie. If anyone has contributed, it is the fraud doctor with his job-killing votes that have left millions of women unemployed and his support of obamacare that has left millions uninsured. But, in his mind, pimp abortion and everything will be ok.

Doug Ose? He is as pro-choice as Ami Bera is!

Congressional Fundraising Numbers In California – Mixed

Dan Logue Vs John Garamendi – Logue has a net $125k and Garamendi has a net 215K.

The fact it is that close should have the DCCC in a tailspin. At +9 dem, this should be a hold for the dems. Garamendi from what I am told is not as popular as he should be in that district.

Or, maybe he’s lazy.

in CD-07 – the Fraud Doctor is sitting on $800k+. When you’re the number one target, it is easy to get the kool-aid drinkers out there.

Doug Ose’s report is lackluster and is quite a bit lower than I and others had expected. We expected him to be in the 750k range.  Ose did the usual paper $250k thing to inflate his number – but the net $230k on hand tells the whole story.

Igor Birman sits with a net $106k on hand.

The closeness of Birman to Ose is going to draw fire from the heavy-hitting IE groups in my opinon.

A Review of Ose’s reports shows that he has gone to a lot of his low-hanging fruit. A lot of the donors read like a who’s who of beneficiaries from his votes in Congress.

Elizabeth Emken is sitting on -6k net.

Moderate Republicans Jeff Denham and David Valadao look to be doing just fine in their upside down districts.

Tony Strickland is carrying the $400k he raised for CA26 in to CA25. Buck McKeon was hoping to pick his successor.

In CA26, neither Republican has a whole lot of money for a dem seat. Liberal Republican Jeff Gorrell has $100k in the bank.

in CA45 – I am wondering why Greg Raths and John Moorlach are running. Mimi Walters is burying both of them in money on hand, by over 11 to 1 in both cases.

Gary Miller in CA31 has a warchest

Raul Ruiz has a warchest to defend against Moderate Republican challenger Brian Nestande. This is the seat lost by liberal Republican Mary Bono-Mack.

The most bizarre info of all – is CA-09. Tony Amador who announced with much fanfare has $1200.

#CA-07 Update, Want to Know Why Ose is Whining? Two More Top Conservative Congressman Pick Birman

When you hear candidates complain about support from outside, that is a keyword… they are worried that the National appeal of their opponent spells trouble for them.

Of course Ose was part of a Nationwide Group that promoted “Republicans” like McCain and Specter.

Leading House Republicans Jordan and Mulvaney Endorse Birman for Congress

Two conservative leaders in the battle against high taxes and big government issued a call today for voters to send Igor Birman to Congress and join them in the fight for conservative values.

“Igor Birman is a true champion of limited government. I have no doubt that he will be a leader in Congress in the never-ending fight to reduce the size and cost of the federal government and stop the out-of-control borrowing that threatens our future,” said Former Chairman of the Republican Study Committee Rep. Jim Jordan, R-OH.

“It’s clear that we need more leaders like Igor Birman in Congress,” said Mick Mulvaney, R-SC. “Leaders who have the courage and commitment to fix the very real issues our country faces today: overspending, out-of-control borrowing, and a federal government that gets bigger and more intrusive with every passing day.  I know that Igor Birman will take these issues head-on in Congress.  Igor is the right choice for Congress and I strongly endorse him.”

Igor Birman, candidate for congress in California’s 7th Congressional District, embraced Jordan’s and Mulvaney’s endorsements. “I’m very honored to have the support of Congressman Jim Jordan and Congressman Mick Mulvaney. Both of them exemplify what’s right about Congress.  I admire their principled leadership in solving the nation’s debt problem, protecting taxpayers and eliminating wasteful spending.  When I am elected to Congress, I will stand with them proudly.”

About Jim Jordan

Jim Jordan has been a prominent defender of the taxpayer’s pocketbook through his work on spending issues. In 2009, he introduced the only balanced budget alternative to President Obama’s budget. In the 112th Congress, Jordan served as Chairman of the House Republican Study Committee, the largest caucus of conservatives, advancing conservative ideas and solutions on Capitol Hill.

About Mick Mulvaney

Mick Mulvaney focuses on jobs, business, and the economy. He currently serves on the House Financial Services Committee as well as the House Small Business Committee.

I snipped off the tag. But, you all get the gist. One candidate is emerging from the pack as the Republican in the #CA-07 Race.
