Know the rules Mr. Hale – you know, like Speed Limits.
In our previous installment of the AD-01 Race, we broke down the latest and greatest of Darin (Seig) Hale’s facebook rants. Since Hale is broke, unemployed and has few donors… facebook exists as his campaign platform. I suppose, he will have even less money now that he looks like he is getting yet another traffic ticket. (Our research shows he’s had at least 6 traffic related issues)
We learned from Darin Hale that Heather Hadwick Votes No more than 111 of the 120 Members of the legislature (she being ranked #112), we also learned that an organization he uses as a yardstick for ideological purity rates Heather Hadwick (the AD-01 incumbent) A+. That organization is none other than Carl DeMaio’s Reform California.
So why wouldn’t someone this stupid also screw up on flagging AB495 as evidence of how “liberal” Heather Hadwick is.
You see, another thing that happens to the minority party in Sacramento is that the Speaker of the Assembly has a lot of ways to retaliate. The day that AB495 was voted on the first time (which Sieg Hale highlighted) the Speaker shut the session down early when Allie Macedo, Lackey, Hadwick and others were still in committee meetings. They missed votes on several bills as a result and were not allowed to enter actual votes in to the record either. This form of retaliation gives rise to people like Hale who stay awake until 2am looking for stuff to criticize.
What Hale and others like him don’t know about the process is that each bill is voted on several times, in the committees Hale did not know about for one example, and at least twice on the actual floor. You know like this:
What a minute – I thought that RINO skipped out on voting on AB495 (you know because the above explanation does not matter of course)! Nope. Here it is on the final reading in August of 2025.
Why is August of 2025 significant? IN an attempt to not have to apologize for lying or at best being sloppy drunk in his research, Hale is claiming that Hadwick voted no because of pressure from him. Uh nope, she voted no when Hale was an unknown (FYI, Hale is still an unknown) councilmember from a small city in Shasta County and not a candidate for AD01.
This post and Hale’s behavior is a microcausm of the repeated failures I see from Conservative activists repeatedly over the years. See something. React. Get proven wrong with facts. Move the Goalposts. Never back down. When this pattern repeats there goes the credibility forever and here we are with Mr. Hail.
And there is still more that your intrepid blogger has yet to discuss about this disaster of a candidate.
