Suicide is NOT the answer.

When all else fails, remind people about the Sacramento Bee
What is your intrepid blogger tracking? I am watching another husband and wife running for the same office scenario unfolding in Southern Placer County.
I am watching the Sacramento Bee double down on their extreme left-wing psychosis. They called a parental notification bill, “Outing” trans kids. Apparently, to Hannah Holzer, Marcos Breton, and crew, having an abortion and getting parts cut off is a decision a 12-year-old can make… but they gotta be 21 to buy booze, tobacco, and weed. Parents be dammed.
And the psychotic rampage of Holzer, Breton, and the rest of the BS Staff against anyone that thinks Parents should have a say in anything continues. FYI – A Hallmark of communism is the state replacing the family.
I applaud any school board anywhere that gets attacked by the Bee. It means they stood up for parents versus the central planner brainwashers that masquerade as educators.
I am watching Placer County Sup D3 and Sup D4.
Crazy Suzy in Sup D4 has figured out she has a serious contender and she is suddenly showing up to events everywhere. Do note that she has her brother with her at most of them (speaking of nepotism, her primary attack against Kirk Uhler in 2020). The Vacuous Jones has proven through her behavior that she has no core and needs constant maintenance to keep the correct talking points for the correct audience. Similar to Bethypoo years before her, she struggles to finish a sentence without pre-programming.
Crazy Suzy’s opponent is a long-time realtor with real friendships. Karen Henson is going to have plenty of resources to work with and crazy Suzy will have her hands full attempting to get re-elected.
Do note that your intrepid blogger is going to kick Suzanne Jones’ ass.
In Sup D3, The field has narrowed to David Butler and Mike Murray. There is an egomaniac democrat running that will get his proper regimen of therapy at a later time, but it appears he is a legend in his own mind.
Let me sum up David Butler vs Mike Murray in as short of a blurb as I can.
Butler: Conservative, Christian, Connected. Butler knows his stuff, knows government and has a lot of friends that will donate to him. You’d expect a man with his pedigree and resume to bring that to the table. Butler appears to be hungry to win the race for Supervisor.
Murray: Young enough to be Dave Butler’s Son, conservative, activist, connected to the grassroots. If Mike can raise $60,000 at least, his incredible strength with the grassroots will make him competitive with the onslaught that Butler’s connections will unleash. If Murray fails to raise 60-70K, he will end up in the vortex that so many activist, grassroots candidates find themselves in.
I consider Butler and Murray to both be friends. I believe given time, that Murray will be a formidable candidate. I am not sure that is in 2024… it is because of Butler’s experience and connections that I believe Butler is the favorite.
Megan Dahle for State Senate. I will have a lot to say about this at a later time, but I want to put in writing that the Dahle’s are fine people and I have defended them to a lot of grassroots people. I may have an opportunity to facilitate some reconciliation and understanding soon. I believe that given exposure, my grassroots friends will discover the same things I have from knowing the Dahles for many years.
California AD01 – despite rumors, there is no “Dahle” candidate. That field is going to be gigantic and most people I know on the inside are waiting to see what shakes out.
Ballot Measure for Parent’s Rights in education. Yep – I will go in to detail very soon about that effort. I am excited about it and you will be too.
Allow your intrepid blogger to issue some pre-endorsements:
Ken Broadway for Rocklin City Council. Done, not negotiable.
Scott Otsuka for Dry Creek USD. Done, not negotiable.
Kevin Kiley for Congress
James Gallagher for Assembly / Congress if the incumbent retires
Joe Patterson for Assembly / Governor
Josh Hoover for Assembly
Greg Wallis for Assembly (district is down south) – everyone needs to give this guy some space, he is in a D+8 district and is going to have hell to pay when he runs for re-election.
Karen Henson for Sup D4. Anyone else thinking about running there needs to stay home.
Megan Dahle for SD01. See above comment.

In case you are wondering, that is your intrepid blogger not dressed in a stuffy sport coat suit thingy. In between Matt Heath and I are the Dahle’s…
Lastly, I will only support Donald Trump for President if he is the nominee of the GOP. I will write this just once, I believe that Trump will lose if nominated and will bring the rest of the GOP down with him. People are sick of the drama and trump will lose independents and suburban Women. We all need to move on, he is nearly 80 years old. I loved his policies but I can’t stand him. Just let that sit… I always support the GOP nominees, but this is the primary and we have a chance to nominate someone else.
P.S. I am still waiting for movement on reforming the broken proxy and credentialing system of the CAGOP. I may be waiting a long time.

Aaron,
The Sacramento Bee is at it’s lowest point ever. The Sacramento Bee used to have its finger on the national pulse. Now, it appears to be a menagerie of young social justice warriors looking to weaponize the power of the pen, leaving rivers of toner in their wake. Even my liberal mother can’t read it anymore. And this comes from a Sacramento native that used to really enjoy reading that paper. Good thing I like storing halibut in my freezer — it makes EXCELLENT fish wrap.
Before, the SacBee (when it was McClatchy) was able to pay political activists to write so they actually had to have a shred of truth in their stories so as to keep their jobs. Now, new journalists (like most of local media with few exceptions — Sac Biz Journal for one) have to rely on government funding to survive and the “journalists” that work there are so zealously liberal they don’t care if they are getting paid minimum wage or not (see wackadoodle Hannah Holzer and the feckless and talentless Jack Ohman). I also suspect that they are influenced by external funding sources as the most cost effective manner of swaying low-information, college educated voters to whatever cause they are getting paid to promote. The Flynn Effect is in full-blown mean reversion.
When the newest generation has to rely on Google to find all of their answers, we as a world are in big trouble. More on that here if interested: https://thehill.com/policy/technology/3922608-american-iqs-rose-30-points-in-the-last-century-now-they-may-be-falling/#:~:text=A%20new%20study%20of%20human,of%20intelligence%2C%20the%20study%20found.
Print is dead. And the journalists that work at the SacBee are intellectually dishonest skunks.
Placer County would do well to have Mike Murray as one of their Supervisors. I do not know the other gentleman but I do know Mike and if I could vote for him I would.
Megan Dahle is a shoe-in for SD01 unless something emerges from Butte County. And that would be somebody like Aaron Rodgers who has the name recognition, the conservative passion, and the money to own that race. Timing isn’t right — looks like he is going to the New York Jets to end his storied football career. I do hope he comes back to Chico and pursues his interest in public service.
Don’t know the other Placer folks you have listed, but Kiley, Patterson, and Hoover are all dedicated folks that know the ropes and keep getting better at their elected positions. They aren’t just advocates, they are change agents. You want to fix Sacramento and DC, stick with those three. And Gallagher is one of those rare public servants that I wish term limits didn’t apply to. I really do hope he continues to serve in ANY capacity. He would do well in Washington DC when / if the opportunity presents itself.
DJT — Those early primaries will be telling to see if he is able to consolidate his historical support. You are right — at his age he will need to convince the American people that he’s still got it, particularly in light of Biden who clearly is roaming the halls of the White House as if it was a memory care facility.
One thing I don’t like — I wish at the DJT rallies he would change his presentation format. I do not like that somber background music that gets played at the end. You want those rally supporters, which are all potential surrogates, leaving on an energetic, pumped up note.
My two cents. Hope you had a good rest from your blog. You were missed!!!
OMG! It lives! (being a person who includes everyone/thing)
Patterson for GOV? I sure hope not.
Sacto Bee. Hmmm. I remember the days of the Sacto Union. I remember the days when SACTO had an alternative voice on the radio, and not just a ‘ homesy type of nuance ‘ that they have now. From a great source, Mr walsh is ZERO inclined to do anything political. So, Sacto has a void. The bee? Um, in the spirit of decorum, I’ll defer the comment, but fishie wrap is too nice of a way to describe that forlorne paper. And mr breton is an effing twit.
Go Placer County! Good luck with all your candidates. Please be careful when you make your selections, so one doesn’t get embarrassed by a rhino covered in socialist agenda clothing.
2024. Um, wow. The world of unknowns. Will he, won’t he, run again? I refer to the blithering idiot we have in office now. Who takes his place, if the old one can’t make it? Doofus? That’s a laugh. Kamala? snicker. There isn’t much of a field for the demo’s. Covid saved their bacon in 2020, but it’s not there for 2024.
Ah, the Trumpster. Gotta love him. He’s got grit. He’s got pizzaz. He’s got more teflon on him than the Teflon Don had back in the day! And yes, he’s an A**hole to a LOT of folks ( your intrepid blogger comes to mind). Be that as it may, the Repubs have an issue to. While many don’t like trump, He has more charm than most of the other potential candidates. There seem to be lots of MAGA folks around. How does one not alienate them for the sake of the office? Let’s say trump wins the nomination. Then what? If a demo candidate wins the Presidency again, after all that grandpa joe’s minions have done?, smh. Then not only the party, but the Country as a whole, has an issue. I can’t see a scenario of newsom vs trump, and newsome wins JUST because trump isn’t liked nor cared for. I digress however.
2024 presidential is going to absorb the air in the room, for a run for GOV in 2026. That leaves the short side of 2025 for campaigning. It’s going to be fun, if nothing else.
oh yea, and on a personal note, welcome back Aaron.
Ya know the California Republican Party is basically a sinking ship, and although, not all of us have given up yet — but without 100% new leadership we are never going to keep it afloat. The Strong Chairman situation, making the chair a basic dictator of the Party, will keep both the Rules and Credentials committees filled with quid pro que chums & losers and the corrupt proxies until likely 2030. And on Trump: You might think he will lose, but I believe he is our only hope right now. To paraphrase Star Wars, may the ‘Force Be With Trump’! (We have nothing left to lose ,at least in this state, under the current situation)
Both of the Dahles are as conservative as humans in California get. They also can count votes and know that their time and energy are finite, so they put those scarce resources toward where they think they can be useful for their constituents. Some folks are just so determined to fight the establishment — a righteous instinct, to be sure — that they don’t notice when the have a few friends and allies who do hold office. It is a well-known side effect of activism.
