Dahle continues to consolidate regional support across the 1st Senate DistrictSACRAMENTO — Today, Brian Dahle announced the endorsement of the Chairman of the Placer County Board of Supervisors, Placer County District 4 Supervisor Kirk Uhler, in his race for Senate District 1.Uhler’s endorsement means four of the five Placer County Supervisors support Dahle for Senate. Jim Holmes, Robert Weygandt, and Cindy Gustafson had already announced their support. “I’m grateful to have earned the support of Supervisor Kirk Uhler in my race for Senate,” said Dahle. “Over nearly two decades of public service, Kirk Uhler has consistently been a low-tax, pro-business vote on the Board of Supervisors. I’m honored to have his trust”
“As our State continues an unprecedented ‘lurch to the left,’ we need proven fighters who understand that local governments must remain the last, best hope for the voice of everyday, working Californians,” said Chairman Uhler. “Brian’s experience as a County Supervisor, and his proven track record in the legislature, convinced me that he is in the fight against unfunded local mandates and ridiculous, burdensome regulations that make it harder for us in local government to provide the services our residents need.”
With 16 years of experience serving as a member of the Lassen County Board of Supervisors, Dahle has garnered the support of 31 county supervisors currently serving the region.
Former Assembly Republican Leader Brian Dahle is seeking election to the 1st Senate District seat. Senator Ted Gaines vacated the Senate seat after winning election to the Board of Equalization in November. The election runoff is scheduled for Tuesday, June 4, 2019.
