Lt Negron, mentioned in this text message is none other than the dude I have used as a punching bag for starring in the Lip Sync Video with the eggplant microphone near his mouth as he is trying to get his freak on.
Now, I get how Negron qualified to make Captain.
Note – rumors about Greg Negron being a personal driver for former Sheriff Bob Doyle are false.
Then there was this email I got: (presumably from a correctional deputy)
Over the past 2-3 years, two Males (1 deputy and 1 Correctional Deputy) have been let go (fired) for getting DUIs while on their initial 18 month probation. The CD received the DUI after he was was involved in a TC and was over the legal limit and was booked. He was allowed to work for months after the incident, then let go for it right before the 18 month probation period.
Fast forward about a year after those, a female CD gets a DUI on probation, and low and behold… she kept her job! Now she owns the place and knows she can get away with it all. It will take an act of Congress to have her fired now, and she knows it. And she is a worthless employee, would of much rather of kept the male CD who was let go really good dude and hard worker.
Typical example of rules don’t apply to everyone, and the troops are sick and tired of it.
Please keep me anonymous sir, just had to put in my part about the non sense been going on over the last few years. Keep up the good work.
Assistant Sheriff Jerry Guitierrez and Chief Deputy Jason Horton are alleged to have gotten away with DUI… now we are seeing a list that is growing. (While some are being fired) This is an employment practices lawsuit bonanza and a public safety disaster.

File this under Irony – Fredericks was walked out of his office sometime around Labor Day Weekend for “File 13ing” several referred cases from other agencies. These included domestic abuse and molestation cases. It is known to my informants that Fredericks is slated to be demoted from Sergeant to Investigator. The discipline is for dereliction of duty, not the DUI. Unreal.
Imagine if PSB had done their job and Sgt. John Wade had done his job – perhaps Fredericks would have cleaned up his act and the situation with him discarding all of the case files sent to him would have never happened! (Note John Wade Lenton and John Wade while both Sgts. are different men)

Steve Fredricks was an arrogant individual that treated deputies, office staff, and everyone else in between poorly. He was rude and disrespectful toward the lower classes, and even treated some peer Sergeants as less than worthy, but kissed the ass of management. Steve Fredricks did almost 2 years at Cabazon Station as a patrol Sergeant, came to the Temecula Station and told everybody he did his patrol time as a sergeant and was ready for Lt. And when Steve Fredricks got into his hit and run, Sgt. Jon Wade responded and called Steve Fredricks to come and “fix” his problem.
Now, if Steve Fredricks was throwing away official reports as a sergeant, that gives rise to if he was also destorying official documents as an Investigator and Deputy. Another question is why did Sgt. Jon Wade call Steve Fredricks first instead of Station Administration? That gives rise to allegations of a cover up, and dereliction of duty and failure to perform as a supervisor because Steve Fredricks missed the turn, hit the curb, took out shrubbery and a large portion of the fencing, and he was not under the influence? And did Temecula Station take a hit and run report as requested by the reporting party when they called Sheriff’s Dispatch, or was that sweeped under the rug by Sgt’s. Jon Wade and Steve Fredricks as well?
Sgt’s. Jon Wade and Steve Fredricks behavior was less that professional, and less than expected from the ranks they hold, and gives the impression of a cover-up, but we will never be able to prove it. But nothing will happen to Jon Wade because he’s a SWAT dog, and we all know that Ray “The Redneck” Wood protects all his SWAT buddies. This is what happens when you promote staff to positions that are beyond their capabilities, and believe that ethical behavior is a flexible trait. Steve Fredricks should never have been promoted to Sergeant, and Jon Wade is also very questionable because if he did this, what other incidents did he bend the values of virtue and ethical behavior?
But what really kills us is that Steve Fredricks and Jon Wade were rewarded for their bad behavior by being given choice assignments when they should have been held accountable for their poor performance.
The second floor should be ashamed of their selections for promotion because if they would have promoted good people instead of their friends and “yes men” then maybe they would not have to face embarrassment with their selections like they have been for the last 8 years.
What can I say about Sgt’s. Steve Fredricks and Jon Wade, plenty. Sgt. Fredricks was a pompous individual, and promotion only made him more full of himself. He did not know how to talk to people, let alone know how to treat subordinates and peers alike. And if Sgt. Fredricks felt threatened by someone, he would besmirch their name to make himself look good (Jon Wade also shared the same characteristic, which is why they got along). But their chicanery in this traffic collision and bending the circumstances into a civil matter gives the precipitation of dishonesty, and as we all know, precipitation is reality. So their behavior in this matter does give the precipitation of Steve Fredricks and Jon Wade now being “Brady Issues” because they acted more like suspects than supervisors. I just wonder how the DA, PD, and LDF will react to these revelations. They have no one but themselves to blame for their predicament, if they would have just come clean and admitted to their mistakes, they would not be part of this blog. I know the old saying of “one hand washes the other” but it won’t work when both hands are dirty. Although the bigger question is, what role did then Lt. Greg Negron play in this, he was the patrol watch commander when this hit and run occurred, and what actions did he take (if any) to correct the behavior of the Sergeants under his command. Let’s face it, when Sgt. Jon Wade found out about the T/C, he should have called Lt. Negron first, and it should have been Internal Affairs and not Sgt. Wade calling Steve Fredricks. It’s the same old story, the second floor protects their favorites and screws everybody else.
Let me see if I got this straight, Sgt’s Fredricks and Wade have attended the Department’s Supervisors school for Sergeants, the POST mandated training for Sergeants, and SLI (Sherman Block Institute), and were tenured supervisor’s when they manipulated this traffic related incident with a nexus to possible criminal allegations, yet nothing happened to them and they are still Sergeants. What part of honesty, integrity and leadership did they not understand as a result of all the training they have received? And what part of liability does Capt. Negron not understand in allowing this behavior to be rewarded with Sgt’s Fredricks and Wade being given the Detective Bureau. And Capt. Negron went through the same leadership training coursework as these two buffoons did. And the executive staff wonders why the rank and file don’t trust their decisions. This is what you get when you promote village idiots to positions of leadership that have no business being in command. This cover-up reeks of neglect of duty, failure to supervise, conduct unbecoming and several other General Orders violations, at several levels within the command structure.
I hear Steve Fredericks is getting his stripes ripped, and he is lucky to still have a job, over yet another incident. Be interesting to hear the twist on his latest transgression.
