Yesterday, 7/25/2018, a major arson fire was started near Idyllwild. The SWAT Team was called to assist CDF who was struggling to create a perimeter. SWAT was being used to help evacuate people.
Lt. Salisbury from San Jacinto was in the Command Post with CDF Personnel and none of them thought the pattern indicated the fire would get close to where they were set up.
Apparently, Lt Werges freaked out and took the windows out of three (relatively new) police SUV’s, and had CDF Cut the hinges off of the back of them so they could pull “SEB” equipment out of the vehicles. So there you have it, Werges had $300,000 worth RSO vehicles destroyed in a Panic. The fire did not come close.
If a deputy gets suspended for two weeks for having Chad Bianco sign in his hand while in Uniform, what does a Lt. Who destroyed $300,000 worth of equipment get? (594 PC?) Well, he is one of Stan’s Butt-Monkies so I doubt there will even be a PERS.
Werges, as you recall is known as Lt. Worthless on this blog. He is the man responsible for running cover for the corrupt Bomb Squad Sergeant Bob Epps. Perhaps Chad Bianco should add Lt. Werges the endangered species list.
See the video of the panic for yourself here. Note that the Fireman looks like he is trying not to laugh out loud. The absurdity is underscored by the fact that Werges is the SWAT TEAM COMMANDER. Perhaps we could visit the Riverside Zoo for an upgrade, or Werges should google Sgt Hondo to see how a SWAT Team commander should act.
Meantime the biggest loser is the taxpayers. Yet another Stan Sniff management team #EPICFAIL

Werges is a complete MORON! He panicked like a little girl and destroyed those new SUV’s because he was scared. He has no business even being there, he should be somewhere else where there is less chance of him fucking something up, like maybe forensics. What an embarrassment that asshole is to the whole dept.!
How about the recent barricaded suspect call in Pine Cove where Worthless went John Wayne and left his position of cover, downed his weapon and walked up to the suspect with his hands up. They didn’t teach that tactic at the basic academy so I’m sure they didn’t teach it at SWAT. Hmmmmm both of these incidents happened on that mountain. Maybe Worthless has some medical condition causing him to lose his head at altitude… or maybe he is just a dumbfuck.
OMG! Werges has been “Worthless” his entire career. He is a legend in his own mind, and a joke in every one else’s. How a person can fail everywhere he goes and end up on our most prestigious team is unbelievable. He is a perfect example of the failure in leadership from Stanley down to captain and lieutenant level. Who decided he was ever worth promoting?
Here is an interesting takeaway from the post: Lt Salisbury from San Jacinto was on scene? That is Hemet Station jurisdiction. Why wasn’t Bianco there? Another lie from Stanley about Bianco having responsibility. I’m sure Bianco was staring out his window in Hemet as Stanley wasted real leadership and tax payer money. Hey, Bianco probably would have had the balls to hook Worthless for attempted vandalism before he destroyed the units and saved the department some money.
We all need to spread the word: Bianco for Sheriff in November.
Great point Dan. Bianco probably would have scared the fire into submission. He is the Riverside County version of Chuck Norris. Can’t wait until he is the boss!
Completely accurate information! Three broken windows (I know because I broke them) and one cut rear hatch will cast a few thousand to repair. Each of those vehicles contains tens of thousands of dollars of weapons, night vision and robotics. This blog reports the facts! But, I did NOT Panic, Asshole.
Ok Kent so if it was such a great idea did the vehicle burn in the end? Why not move it to a safer location? Did any other vehicles burn? How about the command post? Defend that stupid move with a stupid comment. Well done. Keep polishing turds and accusing the blog of lying. We trust the blog more than any admin puke. (I didn’t even ask you why you didn’t grab a key from another deputy, that may have required above 1st grade logic)
Oh no the blog and commenters made fun of a green god. Worthless will probably start attacking when he gets done eating his box of crayolas
$3,000 or $300,000 doesn’t actually matter, waste is waste. Is there an actual intelligent reason why those vehicles couldn’t be driven to a safer location? If it was a command post location those vehicles didn’t drive themselves there. Sorry, but I don’t believe for a second that there weren’t sufficient numbers of personnel standing around waiting for direction that couldn’t have moved those vehicles. Whether you panicked or not doesn’t deter from the fact that for no logical reason you chose to damage County property. If flame had already engaged those vehicles to the point they were no longer drivable, you Might have had a reason. Personally I say you committed 594A if anything (whatever the $ amount is now for felony). If you are not at least PERS’d hours paying back the damage YOU chose to cause, then the Sheriff and the Dept. is exactly the way they are projected in this blog. The truth is the Truth no matter how you look at it. So which is it LT (didn’t panic) Asshole?
$3,000 or $300,000 doesn’t matter, waste is waste. We all get it, there was a large amount of money invested in each vehicle. However, I’m sure they didn’t drive themselves to that location. Especially if it was a CP you can’t make me believe there weren’t sufficient numbers of personnel standing around waiting direction that couldn’t drive them somewhere else. Or that there wasn’t anyone with keys or that could get keys to move them. Panic or not you chose hastily and damaged dept property. You said you broke the windows because of the equipment, but was it necessary is the question? At this point all that appears is you committed 594A (or whatever the $ amount is that makes it a felony). If you are not at least PERS’d the amount of damage you chose to do, the Sheriff and the Dept. are truthfully being depicted in this blog. Why didn’t you just move them, panic or not LT A.H.

So you’re telling me that not single person a the CP had a key to vehicles, and no one left keys behind in case they needed to be moved? Let’s just paint the CP yellow and start handing out helmets! Panic? Can’t say. Stupidity on a massive scale? Oh yeah!
Just like Werges to be stupid enough to come on here and try to make his stupidity look like he did a good thing. It’s all bad no matter how you slice it you jackass. It’s either PISS POOR PLANNING that the lieutenant didn’t have access to the keys of the vehicles that were left behind at the command post or PISS POOR JUDGMENT from the lieutenant who broke out all the windows and cut the vehicles open with a saw as he panicked. Yes Werges, you did panic, just ask those who were there to witness your panic attack. In the end, everything would have been just fine had you left it all alone. So shut the fuck up you jackass! It’s better to keep your mouth shut and be thought a fool, then to open it up and remove all doubt…You fit right in with idiots like Wood and Sniff, kiss my ass!!
Werges has always been a panicking little bitch. That’s why he was never invited to homicide back in the day. This blog post screams that worthless little bitch!
Oh Kent, where did we go wrong with your upbringing? I guess your just “stuck on stupid.” I would ask what’s wrong with you, but that might take a while to answer.
So, you had SWAT respond and then left the vehicles parked and locked as the troops went out into the neighborhood. You as a manager should have had the deputies leave the keys with you, or maybe you should have had spare keys to the vehicles. Another option was to have one of your SWAT deputies stay with the vehicles with the unit keys in the event the units needed to be moved. But that would be forward thinking, and you were never known to be a “free thinker.”
You were nothing more that an average Deputy on patrol, and a lackluster Sergeant in SIB and the deputies under your command initiated a revolt. You failed as a leader at Jurupa, and when you landed at SIB again, you told HDT to keep their mouths shut about Sgt. Epps because his issues would be addressed in-house. And now this. You have been felony stupid you whole career, and if it was not for your godfather Mitch Alm, you would still be pushing a black and white out in the desert with us. You have been given victories in your career, but you never knew how to capitalize on them because you never understood what true leadership really was. Character is making the right decisions, at the right time, on and off the battlefield is the true definition of a leader.
i disagree with my colleagues in that 594 is the appropriate way to proceed. There is a difference between a criminal act and a neglect of duty, failure to supervise, failure to perform, poor common sense, poor judgement, ect. But instead of acknowledging your shortcomings, you blame others. You blamed others for the revolt at SIB, you blamed the Sergeants and Corporal for your mismanagement of the Moreno Valley Station budget, you blamed others for your mismanagement at Jurupa, and now you still refuse to admit your shortcomings on SWAT. Pecker Wood may try to protect you because you guys are SWAT dogs, but if he does Ray will crash and burn with you.
Any other department worth its salt would be doing something about your truculent behavior, but no one is expecting anything from the second floor other than a cover up. Your suppose to be held to a higher standard, but if one of your deputies had done that, you would have walked them off the job. All you have done is embarrass the Department for years with your poor decisions and bad behavior, but you never learned from your mistakes because you have been protected for way too long. So whose the real asshole, asshole.
Kent Worthless did panic, otherwise he would not have made such a dramatic decision under pressure. And it was the wrong decision. The Marine Corps adheres to a higher standard of personal conduct, to lead by example, and to make tough decisions under stress and pressure. Kent, you did not exhibit any of these qualities in your decision making abilities. I would suggest guidance from Vest, Dekker, or Epps in this matter, but it appears they have forsaken the bedrock principles of the Marine Corps for self-enrichment. You were promoted beyond your abilities, and it shows. Forensics is too good for you, maybe Dispatch or the Coroner’s office. Either way, you should never go back to field operations, or to a higher position within the Department because the decisions you make are less than the rank you currently hold Adam Henry.
I don’t know this Lieutenant, but he made a poor decisions to destroy these vehicles. He didn’t have the keys to the vehicles, so why didn’t he just break the driver side window and unlock the doors? He clearly panicked, and nobody else had the balls to step in and stop this waste of public funds. Lieutenant Worthless sounds like he should be a chief. This is why RSO will take about 10-20 years to clean up. Well, the clean up starts in November.
WOW, the cars were parked at the command post? I bet there were big red dusty fire trucks in the area with water? Did the fire department and other supervisors panic? We could have a Werges panic syndrome spreading.
To destroy Sheriff’s cars and then claim your a financial hero is just plain stupid…
Maybe Werges sould he transferred to A & F
Let’s face it Lt. Werges, you panicked and made a very poor decision. So own up to it and move on. The more you try to justify your poor actions, the deeper the hole you dig for yourself, and for the Department because now the second floor is going to have to defend your inexcusable behavior, which puts them in the spotlight. So whose the A-hole now Kent (I can’t add numbers for shit) Werges.
Kent, please do not embarrass yourself by displaying your level of ignorance in trying to justify your idiotic actions. It’s your self-inflated ego and imagined self-worth to the Department that gets in the way of your common sense. You knew, or should have known better, but you decided to show off your moronic skills as a leader of men with your sensational actions that was witnessed by all. And as a manager, you are a reflection of the second floor, which I know are appreciative of your ludicrous management skills right about now (does conduct unbecoming sound about right Kent?). Granted no one has any faith that the command staff will do the right thing, they never have before, unless it’s to protect one of their own, so you may come out unscathed. You were promoted beyond your adroitness (that means skills Kent), and it shows in the decisions you have made throughout your career. So remember that the next time you PERS a subordinate for allegedly making poor decisions because you will be the first one called in at the arbitration hearing. LDF now has your name, and your exploits to call upon now as a rebuttal witness. Good luck Kent -Mr. mathematician-Werges. You make Lt. Mike Manning look good, which is almost impossible to do with his record.
If Sniff don’t like his budget now, he will really be hating life if he transferred Kent “the financial wizard” Werges to A&F as suggested by one of the contributors on ROD. But at least Werges would be able to cook the books to justify the damage done to the patrol units. And Werges was considered management material by the executive staff.
Panicking little bitch
I cannot believe what I heard regarding worthless Werges. We’ve all known that he’s been incompetent his whole career but to cut and destroy three sheriffs SUV takes it to a whole different level. The only way you’re going to get out of this stupid act is that you fall on the sword. You can say that you played the tickle game with Stanley and it makes you do stupid things.
Add him to the list of people that have to go after November.
Let me see if I got this straight, the SWAT commander responds to a fire and is at the command post with the vehicles. He forgets to get the keys from the troops and the fire comes close to his position. Even though Cal-Fire is present with their rigs to fight the fire, he dragoon’s Cal-Fire Personnel to cut open the units to save replaceable equipment. So, the SWAT commander either panicked and took drastic, unnecessary action that intentionally damaged Department property, or else he just makes poor decisions as a SWAT commander that resulted in the wanton destruction to county property. And to add insult to injury, the SWAT commander takes issue with questions raised with his decision making abilities. And the executive staff has not relieved Werges from duty? A legitimate SWAT commander would have relieved himself of his command, and would look into retirement so he could leave with what dignity he has left. But Werges never learned from the multitude of mistakes he has made in his career, and his self-absorbed opinion of his less than stellar abilities won’t allow him to step down and admit his failures. I blame the second floor because they promoted him to a position of command. And this does not include the alleged incident where Commander Werges approached a barricaded suspect unarmed. The suspect is barricaded for a reason, and Werges’ actions are a serious violation of officer safety rules. Now the question is, was Division Chief Ray Woods present because if he was and did nothing about this, then Commander Werges gets a walk and Chief Deputy Ray Wood should get held to answer for the officer safety violation. But Werges don’t get a walk on the damage done to the patrol units.
I recall the Pine Cove incident where asshole Werges pushed the real SWAT operators out of the way so he could lay down his weapon and put his hands up with the suspect just like he was Mel Gibson in Lethal Weapon. What a F’n tool that guy is. Maybe he was hoping Sniff would make a fantasy poster for him too. He’s definitely a legend in his own mind. He can leave with Sniff and the Executioner as soon as the new Sheriff takes office.
Maybe Werges was looking to get a life saving award so he has something to put on his uniform besides his name plate. I remember Werges working at SIB where he would come to work wearing shorts and flip flops and would go to patrol stations dressed like that. And no one said anything to him about his appearance. What a professional organization we work for. Werges is a walking officer safety issue, and it’s only been by the grace of the good Lord that he has not gotten someone killed. I bet he’s cleaning Mitch Alms boat now, looking to sail off and not come back to face the embarrassment he has caused to himself, and the Department. We can only hope Werges does go away because Redneck Rebel Wood won’t do anything to hold his SWAT buddy Kent Worthless accountable.
He is the most in incompetent cop I ever met in 30 yrs of law
enforcement. He flat out lied three times on tape during
A pers investigation which was brought to the attention of
Admin by lawyers and did nothing. Not little untruths but
Lies which he admited to on tape and still nothing. This
Clearly shows the total incomptence of sheriff sniff and his
Command staff. Any one needing the transcripts I have them right here
for free..
At Riverside P&I, we had a rubber chicken so when a Deputy committed a transgression, they would have to carry it, even when going 10-8 on calls until they passed it off to the next Deputy that was vacuous. And some deputies carried the rubber chicken longer than others for obvious reasons (they were felony stupid). So I recommend a new Department award, the Kent Werges, “Stuck on Stupid” certificate of recognition. Although due to current events, there would be multiple nominees competing for the award. We have Lt. Kent-panic attack-Werges, Lt. Kevin-rack and tap-Smith, Lt. Tyler-throw the rata down-Clark, Lt. Aaron-I was told I could cheat on the test-Kent, Lt. Christian-what’s in it for me-Dekker, Lt. Zach-whose up for the mat room-Hall, Lt. Mike-whose the new subordinate-Manning, Lt. Kevin-10/33 I am out with the suspect and don’t know where I am at-Lamb, Lt. Robert-I draw down on unarmed civilians-Rose, Lt. Mark-investigate to terminate-Boston, Lt. Tim-theN/Word-Elwell (is there a pattern emerging here), Sgt. Robert-how much can I make off of this-Epps, A/S Kevin-Agencyweb is the greatest-Vest, Chief Deputy Ray-have you seen my tattoos-Wood, Chief Deputy Jason-have a drink on me-Horton, and Chief Deputy Cheryl-don’t ask me I don’t know-Evans. Granted there are probably more nominations to be had, but Kent Werges, you have made history, and will always be remembered for your antics. But not in a positive way my friend.
So Kent Werges is a Brady issue, why am I not surprised, and Mitch Alm protected that weasel all this time. And I thought Werges was working on Mitch Alm’s yacht for free. I bet the D.A. will be happy to know this because it affects all his cases now. But we all knew worthless was not an accomplished professional. And when Werges was out in the desert, he would refer to Sgt. McDonald as an asshole, but never to his face, he was too much of a yellow-belly. Even though I never had much respect for Sgt. McDonald myself, I would rather work for “The Mac” than for a Brady issue. It’s only a matter of time now before the Justice Department starts conducting interviews of staff members.
I bet Mitch Alm is calling the Second Floor saying,”Please, please, please don’t do anything to my boy Wedges. We all knew Kent was unreliable, but he served us well as one of our political appointees.” But there is not much pull he’s gonna have with the D.A., so you may want to set sail on Mitch Alm’s yacht, you can make it to the open sea and be on your way before the interviews start.
Hey everyone @Not RSO has the right idea. Let’s give worthless some more acronyms. Here’s mine

Werges has just given all SWAT operators a bad name now. But if there is a revolt at SEB, Worthless is gonna pull a page out of the Second Floor’s leadership manuscript and blame someone else for his mistakes. You need to retire Kent, like right now because if by a miracle the Second Floor considers initiating a PERS and you get hours, that reduction in pay will affect your retirement payments, unless you plan on staying for several more years to make up the loss in pay (but no one see’s you staying past January). So get while the getting is good.

Werges’

Temperament
The second floor should have Lieutenant Kent Werges assigned home pending a fit for duty assessment. Anybody who does what Werges did needs this examination for the safety of his staff members, and the public. Additionally, Werges even tried to defend his actions, which goes against what normal people would do.
I just saw the video and if you look in the background, you can see how far away the fire is. Yet Werges made the command decision to break into the SWAT vehicles. No wonder they call him Lt. Worthless. And this idiot was given command of SWAT, unbelievable. Although I do agree if they went to the local zoo, they could get an upgrade, a pet monkey in BDU’s would have made a better decision, and would probably make a better Lieutenant. All the second floor is going to do is protect this jackass and stick the bill with the taxpayers. I just wonder why the BOS, or the county executive officer have not said or done anything to rectify this matter, or hold the Sheriff accountable for the blatant damage committed to county property. Maybe Aaron should start an blog on the county executives in failing to do their jobs as elected officials.
They have a year to initiate a PERS, so even if the second floor decides to do nothing to Werges for his bad behavior, There will be a new boss on the second floor in January, so don’t be surprised when the PERS comes in 2019 Kent.
Damn I remember when deputy’s would drive around in first gear just to blow the engine. The dipshits at Admin would discipline ya for a tiny scratch, but blow an engine no harm no foul. But Werges having the fire department cut up sweet ass units. You win Werges lol. You Win.
