Oooooh! LaMalfa resigned and saved the taxpayers’ money…
(pssst… there will still be a special runoff election in January 2013 for the State Seante seat that will cost $1million)
… and here waiting for me in my mailbox is the first piece of mail from Jim Nielsen!!!
If anyone does not think that this “resignation” was not planned well in advance – take a look at this quick-hitting piece of mail LESS THAN A WEEK after there is notice that Jim Nielsen will be running for State Senate.
Nielsen’s facebo0k page and website popped up within hours of the announcement as well.
I’d like to key in on two quotes from this cat pan liner:
“We can count of Jim to keep faith with our North State values in the State Senate. That’s why he has my strong endorsement.” – Senator Doug LaMalfa.
Nielsen’s Record: Illegal Alien Healthcare, Tax increases, Putting Prop 14 on the Ballot, Taxing Blueberries, etc…
Now, Jim is running for the Senate with the full support and blessing of our current Senator, Doug LaMalfa.
Perhaps Jim Nielsen’s consultants drank some truth serum? Or maybe the Kool-Aid was a really strong batch from year-old polling data that showed that people still hadn’t learned the truth about LaMalfa???
They are admitting flat out that a coronation is in process.
There is one last thing and this is probably the most important. If you have to announce on your campaign mail that you are a conservative, you are putting up a huge red flag for voters.
In this case, Jim Nielsen had to send out this pre-orchestrated piece of mail in a classic attempt to try and control circumstances. His consultants know that he is a moderate with a long record of compromising on Republican Principles – therefore, they are attempting to define Jim Nielsen before the truth comes down on him like a hammer.
Listen…PLEASE bring the true Republican Party back.
The moderate and rational ones have left OR been “primaried” out.
The young Republicans must bring the Party back. Norquist’s pledge is insanity. Please, be honest and realistic. Reagan and GH Bush raised taxes…never had we gone into war (two wars) without increasing revenues.
Never before the past four years has the filibuster been used to totally shut everything down. They just did it with a GREAT bill to help Iraq and Afghanistan veterans GET JOBS!!!
Please, please, please…bring sanity and “true responsibility” back to the Republican Party. This garbage of the past several years (I’m talking truth here)…putting ginormous stuff on the nation’s “credit card” and now just blocking everything in Congress.
Please…this is NOT governance nor rational. We all know it. You do to. I’m not doing the “blame thing” here. I’m a Progressive…but that means —> Progress.
Please, bring back the REAL GOP!!!! We need it back…
