The message is simple. John Allard is the front-runner, he has staff working, endorsements, $100K and has been on the trail for months now.
Beth Gaines either has not or does not. (That could change, of course)

John Allard Is Most Experienced Assembly Candidate
Only candidate with business and local government experience
Roseville – Local small businessman and Roseville City Councilman John Allard welcomed Beth Gaines into the race to replace newly elected Senator Ted Gaines in the Assembly.
“Ted Gaines was the best choice to serve our area in the State Senate,” said John Allard. “I congratulate him on his election and honor his experience in local government and running his own business. Now I have a similar life experience to offer the voters of our area.”
Allard has been preparing his run for the Assembly for months now. He is the clear front-runner in the race with a long list of supporters that recognize his community leadership over the past several decades.
“There is no candidate in this race that is prepared to serve like John Allard,” said former Senator Tim Leslie. “I represented this area in the Legislature for more than two decades. John is the only candidate that has consistently played a leadership role in the region.”
“I have known John Allard for 20 years and know he has first hand knowledge of the issues for small business and knowledge of local government,” said Roseville Vice Mayor Susan Rohan. “He has my full support.”
“I represented part of Placer County in the State Senate for eight years,” said former State Senator Sam Aanestad. “It is clear to me that the candidate that is motivated to serve the taxpayers, families, and businesses in this area is John Allard. He has my complete support.”
Allard was appointed to the Roseville City Council in 2003 and has won election twice since then.
John has spent over twenty years serving nonprofit organizations and is a former Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Roseville Community Health Foundation; former Vice Chairman of Sutter Health’s Placer County Community Advisory Board; former Vice President of Government Relations and member of the Board of Directors of the Roseville Chamber of Commerce; and former member of the Board of Directors of Acres of Hope, The Gathering Inn, the Sacramento Valley Lincoln Club and the South Placer Transportation Management Association.
Included among his Council duties are Chairman of the Placer County Wine Industry Task Force, Roseville Revitalization Committee and South Placer Wastewater Authority; Vice Chairman of the Placer County Air Pollution Control District; member of the Highway 65 Interchanges JPA, Placer County Economic Development, Placer County Transportation Planning Agency, Sacramento Area Council of Governments and Western Placer Waste Management Authority Boards of Directors; and the City of Roseville/Union Pacific and Economic Development Advisory Committees. He also chairs the annual South Placer County National Day of Prayer Breakfast and serves on William Jessup University’s Community Relations Council.
John and his wife, Lisa, purchased Molly Maid of Placer County in 2005 and have grown the size of the business by over 400% in five years.
