Rodney Stanhope: I can explain, really! (Paternity, Child Support, Bad Checks, etc.)

by | Feb 19, 2013 | California Republican Party, Rodney Stanhope

Rodney Stanhope is running for Vice Chairman of the California Republican Party.

Thus far, Mr. Stanhope’s campaign has been one of I am the true Conservative and the worker bee.

And, deadbeat dad, paternity suit, bad checks… that’s not exactly the work most in the CA GOP have in mind.

One of the best explanations we heard is that Regina was an exotic dancer at the time she and Rodney had a relationship. Rodney was married at the time he and Regina connected, which led to Rodney divorcing the mother of three of his children. Later Mrs. Karsh decided to have a relationship with another man while still living with Rodney. This precipitated a few of the items on the above list. (Many in PCRA were familiar with the first situation at the time it happened)

Mr. Stanhope has also described the two paternity cases as “normal” or “routine” (my paraphrase). We are wondering why a “routine” paternity case that was resolved quickly is sitting on the Sac County site after 12 years and the presence of two such cases suggests a pattern.

We’d love to see the reporting in the State Media on this.

Remember the Bad Checks – this is part of a later theme. Mr. Stanhope has not tried to explain these.

When you add in his actual conviction for domestic battery to the above, now the pattern is disturbing.

At what point do Tea Party leaders start asking “how much is there to explain away?” At what point do those that have endorsed Rodney start wondering what they have done?

To be continued…
