The Artillery Continues to Fire Away:

Roseville – John Allard announced today that he has garnered the support of Auburn City Councilmembers Mike Holmes and Bridget Powers, Lincoln Mayor Paul Joiner and City Councilmembers Tom Cosgrove and Stan Nader, and former Lincoln Mayor Primo Santini. Allard is running in the 4th Assembly District.

“I have served on the Roseville City Council for seven years now, and am honored to have worked with these Auburn and Lincoln city officials for the benefit of our entire region,” said Allard. “I am grateful for the endorsement and trust that these Auburn and Lincoln city officials have placed in my ability to effectively tackle the issues important to the 4th Assembly District.”

Allard has served on the Roseville City Council since 2003 and served as Planning Commissioner from 2001 to 2003. With over two decades of community service, Allard has served on the Board of Directors of Acres of Hope Shelter for Women and Children, Roseville Chamber of Commerce, Roseville Community Health Foundation, Sacramento Valley Lincoln Club, South Placer Transportation Management Association, and The Gathering Inn, Sutter Health’s Placer County Community Advisory Board, and William Jessup University’s Community Relations Board.

Having previously served as the Chief of Staff to former Senator and Assemblyman Tim Leslie, Allard is a familiar name in the region with relationships established over several decades.  His long list of endorsements and work ethic make him the immediate front-runner for this seat.

In 2005, Allard and his wife, Lisa, purchased a service-related franchise and have grown the business by over 400%. The parents of three children, the Allard family attends Bayside Church of Roseville.

  1. After a lot of soul searching, I have decided that I am not ready to put forth a credible campaign. While I truly believe that I have a lot to offer the voters of the 4th assembly district, I do not have the organization, the money, and the time to run. I will continue to serve the Dry Creek School district on the Board of Trustees, and my 140 7th graders at Arcade Middle School. Perhaps down the road I will launch a campaign for the State Legislature- but I will need more time, and be better organized to do it right.
