Did Mr. Anti-Government Jeff take gifts from people? (Let alone being over the limit)

Jeff Hewitt has some ‘splainin’ to do. And, we are not talking about the 50 liens and the slew of lawsuits he has been in.

This guy has had nothing but trouble with the FPPC – the campaign finance regulators – because he refuses to file his paperwork. Hey, that sounds a lot like his “successful” business! Worse, he has also been lit up for flaunting the rules as well!

The FPPC fined Hewitt $1,111 for failing to report large contributions as required by law. This occurred on five separate occasions. FPPC Case # 17/00038  Total Penalty: $1,111  Respondent: Jeff Hewitt for State Senate #23 2014; Jeffrey F. Hewitt; David Castaldo, Treasurer Govt Code Section Violated: 84203 (5 separate 24-hour report violations)
FPPC fined Hewitt $4,923 for failing to file required campaign reports and failing to during 24-hour period. Hired Ashlee Titus at Bell McAndrews, Hiltachk. FPPC Case # 2018-000248.  Respondents: Jeff Hewitt for Assembly District 42 2016, Jeff Hewitt, David Castalado, and Wendy Hewitt.
Your intrepid blogger expects more FPPC complaints are to be expected as a result of Hewitt’s failure to file all $1,000 checks or more within 10 days of receipt last year (dozens).
Currently, five formal complaints have been filed with the FPPC against Jeff Hewitt between 2017-2021. As a result, three separate investigations are currently underway. The two other complaints did not result in new investigations, but were added to the current investigations.
Of the five complaints/investigations:
  • two were initiated directly by the FPPC;
  • one was initiated by the Secretary of State;
  • two were initiated by the Franchise Tax Board;
  • BONUS one complaint for violating anti-corruption statutes was initiated by a private party
Another BONUS: Jeff Hewitt also got a warning letter over his conduct from his governor campaign in the failed California Recall of 2021. Hewitt failed to file his form 700 statement of economic interests for his Governor campaign – speaking of transparency.
The five complaints and the three open investigations are listed below.
Jeff Hewitt: 2 pending lawsuits, 5 pending FPPC Cases, 1 Pending Anti-Corruption Case, and 2 liens since being elected. What the hell else is there that we don’t know about yet?
To be continued…

There are some interesting machinations in Riverside County – Richard Roth, an alleged Moderate Democrat / Military General State Senator, is looking for his next office. (I say alleged because Roth’s voting record is indistinguishable from any of the avowed communists in Sacramento) Roth’s fellow democrat, the malignant cancer Sabrina Cervantes is looking to jump from the Assembly to the State Senate. This leaves Sabrina’s sister Clarissa Cervantes, a Riverside Councilmember as the chosen pinko for Assembly.

It is nice to know that everything I complain about regarding insider politics is at work on the Democrat side, except this time with real power versus the games for the GOP super-minority.

Riverside County – your intrepid blogger is watching you…

The above office shopping list is speculation on my part but is also widely discussed in Political Circles. So with that in the background, Your intrepid blogger came across a 9-30-2022 article in the local rag about a lawsuit filed by Clarissa Cervantes against Chad Bianco, the Sheriff of Riverside County.

It appears that Clarissa is trying to get attention for herself in advance of her run and is also attempting to pander to the cop-hating far-left.

In the article about the lawsuit is a key sentence (claim if you will):

The suit alleges Bianco’s statements were “false and libelous” because Cervantes was not involved in the protest or vandalism, and “defamatory” because they “impute criminal conduct” and would cause a reader to “judge her unfit to be a City Councilperson.”

Impute Criminal Conduct causing a reader to judge her unfit to be a City Councilperson.

On 12-17-2014, Clarissa Cervantes was indeed charged with a crime.

So Cervantes got popped for a DUI, and she was sloshed too. BAC over .15.

So – Cervantes got charged. Was she guilty – thus making her a “convicted criminal” and confirmed to have engaged in “Criminal Conduct”? Read on…

Have a look at the documents. #1 they are dated a little over 10 months after she was charged with the DUI. This suggests that Cervantes attempted to fight the charges, later agreeing to plead guilty when it was clear she was not going to beat the rap.

It looks like she got fined a couple grand total, got her driver’s license suspended, got sent to a diversion program, and was sentenced to 10 days in jail. She was given credit for the night she spent in the drunk tank and the remaining 9 days appear to have been suspended or swapped for an alternative sentencing program. By definition, Clarissa Cervantes is a convicted criminal.

Using Clarissa Cervantes’s own words from her lawsuit against the current Sheriff of Riverside County (Sniff was the dude when she got popped for the DUI), Impute Criminal Conduct causing a reader to judge her unfit to be a City Councilperson.

Using Cervantes’ words in the proper context, she is guilty of criminal conduct and thus IS unfit to be a City Councilperson. Time to resign, Clarissa.

P.S. When Cervantes got popped, she worked for Riverside Councilmember Andy Melendez. This means a lot of people in the Riverside County Political Community knew about this DUI while Cervantes is playing the victim, “worrying” about her reputation. Someone should have called her and pointed out the obvious.

Blogger’s Note: I am simply posting his emails without comment. Also note, I did not edit them or re-format them so as to prove their authenticity.

Aaron Goodmorning – Doug Hassett here.

We are two men that have much in common and I wanted to make sure you understand more of who I am and how Libelous your comments about me are.   First, like you I’m a Christian, I’m a hiker, I’m preparing to hike the Catalina Trail, and I just started in the insurance business. It’s my brand new career in insurance that was the absolute reason I stepped away from the Rivco GOP. I just got my P&C License in 2021 and my Life license earlier this year. I’ve gone to work for (REDACTED) and I’m currently enrolled in a 20 week high paced training while selling at the same time. I think you can easily grasp that if I’m just starting in the insurance biz, training for a 40 mile backpacking trip, caring for my family, and serving my church that maybe my time is limited. The GOP leadership is a full-time job and that’s not something I can tackle at this time.  I don’t know where you got your information, but I know you never asked for a statement from me.  You actually chose to believe the lies of others, without asking me. As a Christian, it would be proper for you to print a retraction and an apology and do so immediately.  It would also be appropriate to name the people spreading such horrible rumors so that others don’t fall into the trap that you did.  If you are the Christian you say you are, I’ll be expecting to hear from you and look forward to letting you know that I accept your apology.

Lastly Aaron, the GOP needs activists to further the conservative message, but that message can’t contain lies.  America’s greatness must be built on America’s goodness and there’s nothing good or great about suffocating good people with falsehoods about their character.

Kind regards,

Doug Hassett

Blogger’s Note: I followed up by asking for details on the Website debacle and got this:
Aaron,
I meant to offer you some details concerning the rivco gop website.  Don Dix wanted to spend $7k developing a new website and said that the GOP had $7k in an account somewhere, but we never found this account.  In a unanimous vote by the executive committee we voted not to spend $7k noting that it required further review and an income that would support the expense.  My daughter, who has a digital marketing and advertising degree and is an expert at coding, offered to help fix our existing website for a minimal hourly rate.  When Don was still with us, he rejected that offer and the current executive committee including myself noted that we would have to acquire additional bids before accepting any one bid, especially a bid from a family member.
Everything concerning this matter was handled in a total above board manner and no contracts were cancelled and then given to family members.  Again, you chose to believe and print lies being told by others and you never requested information from the source.  You’re not reporting in a fair and unbiased manner and this should be your entire focus.  I don’t get where you’re coming from.
Over the years I have had experiences that have familiarized me with building websites and have built several of my own.  On a regular basis I use a very complex graphics program and I really understand how these things work.  In the end, once I had access to the website, and after Don’s Memorial Service, I eliminated the images of Don, fixed a few minor items and then left it alone.  All this at the direction of the Executive Committee.  Decisions concerning the website have all been matters of running a proper business and living within our means.  Had you been in the room with the rest of us, I think you would have been grateful to see our care and caution.
One more time, please be careful who you listen to.  Again, I’ll be looking for a retraction of your story and your apology.
Respectfully,
Blogger’s Endnote: Hassett called me directly and indicated that he was not contacted by anyone with regard to resigning.

The last we covered Jason Horton was in 2019. He was interviewing for the Chief of Police Job in Yakima. Everyone thought he got the gig – well, nope.

I also saw Jason Horton at a CAGOP convention. I could not figure out why this 6’6″ tall walrus (literally 300 pounds at least) was glaring at me until I was close enough to see his nametag as the door of the elevator was closing. I never saw him again that weekend or I’d have attempted to chat with him.

Jason Horton was a Chief Deputy under deposed former Riverside Sheriff Stan Sniff. It was my belief that Horton was scum then and it has been reinforced today by virtue of an email from a well known fundraiser in Riverside County.

Ladies and gentlemen, the “Deucemobile” – the car Horton totaled under mysterious circumstances. Was he wasted?

Horton has one heck of a history with the Riverside Sheriff’s Office. I wrote about why I called him Jason “Deuce” Horton for over a year when I was eviscerating Stanley. (Sniff the corrupt former sheriff of Riverside County) A Deuce is a Law Enforcement term for a DUI.

Did you know that Jason Horton caused the County to Get Sued? Perhaps this is why the Corona Police Department turned his application down when he attempted to lateral out of the RSO? Oh, you didn’t know that either? Yup, we broke this news here on the Right on Daily Blog a month ago.

Did you know that Jason Horton’s alleged DUI may be a separate incident from this accident that resulted in a personal injury lawsuit? While I have no proof that Horton got away with a DUI, it is widely believed amongst the rank and file.

However, what I do have proof of is an accident where Horton was talking on his cell phone travelling at a high rate of speed when he climbed up the left side of a civilian’s car.

Read the lawsuit here.

On Page 3 is the first key element – The license plate of the Deucemobile is mentioned. 6EUH192. Please see the embedded photo, you will note that the recently discovered totaled 2008 Ford Crown Victoria matches the lawsuit complaint.

I suppose until we get more information of the allegedly covered up DUI, that we can say that “Deuce” refers to two injured civilians.

If you continue down page 3, you will see that Horton ran a Red Light while talking on his cell phone and hit the plaintiffs in the lawsuit. A check of records shows that Horton did NOT receive a citation for breaking TWO (another Deuce) traffic laws. Most be nice to be one of Stan Sniff’s Chiefs, similar to Stan Sniff flashing his badge to get out of traffic tickets… here we go again.

Normally, wrecking a county vehicle results in a “PERS” aka, a disciplinary hearing against the employee who wrecked the vehicle. As of the writing of this blog, there is no known disciplinary hearing or procedure against Jason Horton. Were it not for finding this lawsuit, the whole thing may well have been completely covered up from the public despite the lawsuit proceeding.

You can read even more about Horton’s checkered history here.

This is why the email I received today makes so much sense to me. Note that the email was sent to Stanley Sniff, Jason Horton himself, Mohammad Ali Mazarei, a couple of political consultants and community leaders as well. My source was not one of those on the CC line. I believe that Michael Williams may have sent this to thousands of people.

April 29, 2021

Dear Friends of Jason Horton….

  • As many of you know Jason was going to run for City Council here in Riverside….Then he wasn’t/then he was/then he wasn’t
  • Going back to January he took money from potential donors—one such for $1000 as of today…this and another donation have NOT been paid back.  (This is a FPPC violation).
  • In my case, he ordered printing and logos done.   On his word, I went ahead and did all of this.    My printer, based on our past relationship has extended him credit.   Fortunately, he reimbursed me for the stamps cost and has the envelopes in his possession with stamps on them.
  • However, besides friends he stiffed.    He has failed to pay a $744.00 printing bill to….THE PRINTING CONNECTION….THIS IS CURRENTLY OVERDUE BY OVER 100 DAYS.
  • I have sent him numerous reminders to pay this bill that he authorized.    No response/No payment….this goes back to January.
  • As a result, I am asking his friends to pay whatever they can to the Printing Connection…..whether it’s $25/50/75/100 etc.
  • Please mail your check(s) made out to
  • The Printing Connection
  • c/o 3711 A Arlington Ave
  • Riverside, CA 92506
  • Also, you as a friend should know that according to Transparency California, Jason’s annual retirement from the Sheriffs’ Department is $173,691.36

Should you have any questions,  please feel free to contact me…….Mike Williams….951 xxx xxxx

Any amounts received over $744.00 will be returned to you.    Thanks for your consideration.

Mr. Williams must not have read Right on Daily, because anyone that did would have known better than to do business with Horton.

For Mr. William’s benefit and the others CC’ed on his fundraising email – here is more on Horton’s alleged Deuce:

Note – Horton hit the victim’s car on the left side so hard that it was moved 20 feet from the collision. This is of course why the county’s vehicle was destroyed in the process. Did Horton get 2 DMV Points as a result of this (An accident with Bodily Injury is 2 points and causes you to lose your California Good Driver Status for 3 years)?

So Deuce means, a 2 point accident, 2 victims, 2 violations of traffic law in the case of Jason “DeuceX3” Horton. Were Horton’s case properly handled, he’d have 4 DMV Points – a 2 pt Accident, a Red Light Ticket and a Cell Phone Ticket. I will lay odds that he shows nothing on his MVR and CLUE reports. (Remember, my day job is Insurance)

Officer Christopher Wilson and Officer Hatzidakes of the Riverside PD Responded to the Accident. While I am sure they had no idea that the stuff Horton did disappeared (I am basing this on the fact I could find nothing in records checks about Horton having any tickets in the last 3 years), I’d sure love to talk to them and see if they observed the presence of Alcohol on Horton’s Breath. Maybe there are other details they could tell me. Perhaps someone can find the Riverside Police Department Report about the accident?

The Civil Claim also indicates they are asking for an amount in excess of $250,000. Ouch.

The County and Jason Horton’s Defense? Absurd.

  1. I didn’t do it
  2. The Family Caused It
  3. Unknown 3rd Party Caused It
  4. I may have caused it, but family incurred risk of collision by getting in their car
  5. Family is partly to blame so damages, if any should be reduced
  6. Family didn’t do enough to mitigate their own damages
  7. Even though Horton Caused the Accident, he was careful and reasonable and did not do anything wrong so the family should not get any money.

Sounds an awful lot like the absurd and inane excuses the county uses to further injure injured employees by denying care and litigating Worker’s Comp Claims.

Where was the PERS on Horton?

Where are the two tickets he should have gotten?

Where is the DMV Record of the Accident?

Why was the destroyed vehicle hidden for a YEAR? (The accident was on 8-10-2017 according to the lawsuit)

I told Chad Bianco he’d be 10 years cleaning up the mess of Stanley. (Stan Sniff) This is Jason Horton ladies and gentlemen, at one time he was a top cop in Riverside County. That is truly scary.
