That’s correct, Placer voted 5-0 (including Holmes) to lift the State of Emergency that has been strangling Placer Businesses and re-opens our schools. (Note: Placer County Superintendent of Public Instruction Gayle Garbolino-Mojica is an activist liberal democrat who was one of the first to order a shut down of schools, before the state mandate)

Placer County was the first county and it is expected that other Northern Counties would follow suit – this is the significance of Jim Holmes talking to liberal Republican former Police Union Chief Leonard Moty to sabotage efforts in Shasta. Only Les Baugh voted to end the State of Emergency in Shasta. Leonard Moty’s attack was apparently pivotal in keeping Shasta strangled and under Newsom’s thumb.

Exclusive to Right on Daily Blog – check out the embedded video and listen for yourself to Supervisor Leonard Moty setting fire to Jim Holmes as his source. The sound quality is poor so turn up your volume a bit.

Kirk Uhler has been making viral videos over the flawed data that is being used to shut California down for 6 months (most of them after losing re-election mind you). Most of the time, “Lame Duck” electeds go away quietly. Uhler has millions of Facebook views on his page since losing re-election.

Note – the woman Kirk lost to is an 8 time candidate who will say anything to get votes. She was elected by the democrats in her district that voted overwhelmingly for her (I know, I was Uhler’s Campaign manager) and at the Placer GOP meeting following the 5-0 vote she trashed the vote to lift the state of Emergency. The Placer GOP should take a 2/3 vote and expel her from the committee.

Back to the video: the key takeaways are Moty calls Uhler angry, a lame duck and a disruptive force on the Placer County Board of Supervisors and identifies Jim Holmes as the source of his info.

Here is the significance of this map. I have circled where Jim Holmes Lives. His property line at Bell and Joeger Rd is literally part of the District Boundary! Back in 2010, Placer County Staff had to rig the map to keep Jim Holmes in Supervisor District 3. They had to bring District 5 – which goes all the way to the Nevada border clear down to Newcastle. They also had to disenfranchise the Second Largest City in Placer County – Rocklin, by splitting it between two supervisor districts in order to Keep Jim Holmes out of Supervisor District 5. (Note: the 2020 maps are not out yet)

In 2022, Jim Holmes will be in Supervisor District 5 which would force him to have to run against Cindy Gustafson. He would not beat her, because most in the area are well aware of Holmes duplicity. Roseville, Rocklin and Lincoln have all grown, while the rest of the county has not. It is likely that Supervisor District 5 will include all of North Auburn, Auburn, Newcastle, Penryn and maybe Loomis.

In 2006, when Kirk Uhler (whom Jim Holmes and Leonard Moty trashed in the Shasta BOS Meeting) was appointed to the board, Jim Holmes was the lone holdout vote 2 times. With only one vote left before the vacancy would have been filled by Arnold Schwarzenegger due to lack of unanimity, Ron Bakin from the Granite Bay Community Association (an anti-growth NIMBY group that helped Suzanne Jones in 2020) stood up and told Holmes to vote for Uhler as they did not want Arnold appointing some loser to the position.

Only then did Jim Holmes relent. However, as you can tell – 14 years later Holmes still hates Uhler.

People interested in re-opening California need to share this blog as people need to let Jim Holmes and Leonard Moty know how you feel about their backroom deal to screw over the hard working people of Northern California.

If you have any tips about Jim Holmes talking to people in your county – let me know at [email protected]

Please note: Right on Daily endorsed Mike Murray against Jim Holmes in 2020. Holmes won with 54% of the vote despite winning in 2016 with 76% of the vote.

My list of grievances with Jim Holmes is quite long and complex. Along the lines of my series on Kirk Uhler – let me lay out some insider knowledge that informs my strident opposition to Jim Holmes.

Mike Murray at the Placer County Elections Office

I was on the Placer GOP Cent Com when Jim Holmes and then Rocklin Councilmember Peter Hill stomped out of the GOP and re-registered DTS in disgust after the Placer GOP opposed a $500 Million Sierra College Bond. You read that correct – over a decade ago, a $492 Million Sierra College Bond was floated.

I remember helping Alice Dowdin against Jim Holmes back 16 years ago when Holmes won his original election. Holmes re-registered Republican at that point before running as it was believed it would be to his advantage. Holmes was a democrat previously and had served in local office as a democrat. Alice was a liberal Republican, but was viewed much more favorably by the business community. (Dowdin is on the board of the Western Sierra Collegate Academy and voted for the Rocklin USD style homosexual indoctrination protocol that was so controversial with the parents of the WSCA – the Charter School that Dave Patterson helped found)

Holmes has a reputation for being a “nice guy”. What I remember was how difficult he was to deal with when the Placer County Board of Supervisors was split 2-2 with the two leftist democrats Jack Duran and Jennifer Montgomery versus Kirk Uhler and Robert Weygant. Jim Holmes relished being the swing vote and the attention that came with it.

Holmes is no longer the swing vote after Jack Duran was humiliated in 2018, losing to Bonnie Gore (who Kirk Uhler recruited) by over 20%. In addition, Jennifer Montgomery got appointed to a cush job by Gavin Newsom to destroy the California Economy under the guise of environmental protection and Cindy Gustafson was appointed to replace her.

The most recent example of how unprincipled and difficult Jim Holmes was to deal with involved the Pioneer Energy Debacle. Kirk Uhler was basically forced to run a drill to threaten Jim Holmes position as one of the two supervisors on that board to get him to back off of his support of the 27% rate increase. Only after Holmes knew three of his colleagues were opposed to the massive rate increase did he back down. While Holmes ultimately got to the right conclusion most of the time – the amount of effort it took from Kirk Uhler and Robert Weygandt to cajole Jim Holmes for years was absurd.

I can understand why Kirk and Jim traded endorsements. It smacks of a non-aggression pact more than some sort of mutual admiration society. Many of the NIMBY’s and Democrats in Kirk Uhler’s district are Holmes supporters. The Unions are Holmes supporters – having Jim Holmes endorsement is likely holding a lot of the leftists at bay. Note that Suzanne Jones is still carrying a ton of the Placer County Democrat Central Committee and leading environmentalists in to her campaign against Uhler.

Mike Murray gives us a real chance at having a reliable supervisor once again. His roots in Placer County are nearly lifelong, he went to school here, his kids are in school here.

Murray is 34. Holmes is around 70.

Mike Murray was and is a leader in the Rocklin Parent’s movement against the extreme policies their board adpoted. Contrast this with Internet searches that reveal a slew of local tax measures Jim Holmes has endorsed.

Murray opposed the Pioneer Energy Rate Increase, Jim Holmes supported all 27% of it until he was faced with public humiliation.

Murray opposes Sanctuary State, Jim Holmes supported it by refusing to support Kirk Uhler’s motion to oppose Sanctuary State at a board of supervisors meeting in 2018.

Murray opposes commercial Marijuana Production in Placer County, Holmes supported it. (Holmes is an alumni of Humboldt State)

Murray is a lifelong Republican. Holmes has switched party affiliation twice in the last 15 years.

Many of Holmes supporters are a who’s who of leading leftists in Placer County.

When Jim Holmes first took public office, Mr. Murray was in grade school (and your intrepid blogger was tapping kegs in the fig orchards around Fresno)! I think 25+ years in public office is long enough.

Please join RightonDaily and support Mike Murray for Supervisor!

It has happened. Jenine Windeshausen quit in a huff last week when her 25% rate increase proposal was rejected at a previous meeting. She is the Placer County Treasurer-Tax Collector and is also the executive director of Pioneer Energy. In a letter sent to the Auburn Journal last week, she detailed her resignation over the Board’s preliminary vote to reject the massive rate hike.

Today, led by Cheryl Maki – from the Auburn City Council and Jenine Windeshausen who was determined to win the fight for the rate hike, it happened.

Placer County Supervisor Jim Holmes voted to hike your electricity bill 25% (he made the motion)

Colfax Councilmember Kim Douglas voted to hike your electricity bill 25% (flipped from no last week, to yes this week)

Loomis Town Councilmember Jeff Duncan voted to hike your electricity bill 25%

Lincoln City Councilmember Peter Gilbert voted to hike your electricity bill 25% (who also flipped from no last week, to yes this week)

as Did Auburn Councilmember Cheryl Maki. (who seconded Holmes’ motion)

For those of you on the outskirts of Lincoln, Loomis and anywhere around Colfax or Auburn has your home insurance cancelled or gone up thousands of dollars? I’ve been dealing with a never-ending nightmare in my insurance business and now these people just hammered you with a massive electrical rate increase on the heels of your insurance skyrocketing!!!

Even more outrageous is that the Board of Pioneer Energy voted for corporate welfare on the backs of the residential customers – handing business customers a 2% rate decrease at the same time!

It was put to me by multiple people at the meeting that the outcome appeared to be scripted. The staff of Pioneer Energy were way too quick and prepared to answer questions they had anticipated. The demeanor and countenance of the rate-hikers indicated they had all been contacted and knew the outcome before it happened. If indeed Jenine Windeshausen “ran a drill”, using her position as executive director to wield influence over members subject to the Brown Act (meaning that more than 2 can not talk outside of a public meeting about an issue) this would be grounds to recall her for a violation of the public trust.

Ripping off residential customers to subsidize rates for business clients is reason enough to recall her.

Be sure to thank Placer County Supervisor Kirk Uhler and Rocklin Councilmember Greg Janda for standing up and voting no.

The cover story for the consumer ripoff and corporate welfare is “paying off debt”. The debt held by the utility was only at a 3% interest rate and is now being paid for with a 25% rate increase. Only in the minds of government is that “fiscally responsible”, and only if you believe you are entitled to everyone else’s money that is.

Stay tuned to Right on Daily for more on the Pioneer 5, the mavens of corporate welfare that gave away the store on the backs of residential ratepayers…

Back in 2008, we had a 5 Republican Board of Supervisors in Placer County. By 2012, it was 2.

In 2018, a motion to oppose Sanctuary State died for lack of a second, why did that happen? (note that the local media are celebrating it’s demise)

IN 2010, the Late Rocky Rockholm was up for Re-Election. Jack Duran, a School Board Trustee ran against him and was not found on the campaign trail. Duran in person is combative and was not a good candidate. So, the Democrat operatives running his campaign put him on ice and made the whole campaign about Rocky Rockholm’s taking a plane trip at the cost of $8,000 to return to vote on a project in North Lake Tahoe called the 3-lane hybrid.

They took Highway 28 in North Lake Tahoe and reduced it from a 4 lane expressway with no turn lanes to a 2 lane highway with roundabouts and a center turn lane.

Rockholm lost 100% because people cared more about the Plane Ticket than any other issue.

District 5 Supervisor Bruce Kranz had beaten the far-left Rex Bloomfield in 2004. Kranz went ballistic over the 3 Lane Hybrid Project and a lot of the animosity over that episode carried forward in to 2008. Bloomfield recruited Jennifer Montgomery, herself a Bernie Sanders type of Democrat to run for Supervisor and she won.

In the meantime Jim Holmes, a lifelong Democrat, turned Republican beat Alice Dowdin in 2004 for Supervisor. During 2011. Jim Holmes un-registered as a Republican and went DTS because he was upset with the County Party for consistently opposing Bonds and Parcel Taxes that local government are fond of floating.

So, just like that in 2010, 5 Republicans. In 2013, 2.

Worse, no one opposed Duran for Re-election in 2014. Now, in 2018, Duran was drubbed by 22 points by Bonnie Gore… who will not be sworn in until December 2018.

Holmes has been opposed both times he has run for re-election, but not by anyone serious. In 2016, Montgomery drew no serious opposition as 5 people filed against her.

Robert Weygant is the dean of the Board of Supervisors. He is a moderate / liberal Republican. He knew that the Sanctuary State Resolution did not have 3 votes, so he did not see fit to second Kirk Uhler’s motion to oppose the Sanctuary State. In his mind, there was no upside to taking a position sure to fail.

Robert Weygant is one of the breed of Republicans that Chad Mayes / John Kasich / Arnold are trying to promote. He has been in office since 1994 and on most all county issues has voted with Conservatives.

This leaves us with Kirk Uhler, the son of Lew Uhler, Placer County’s lone Conservative (at least until Bonnie Gore is sworn in) Supervisor.

The sad irony is that several within the Placer GOP’s Central Committee supported a liberal Bay Area transplant against Mr. Uhler in 2016. I’d lay odds they will leave Uhler alone in 2020 and go after Holmes and Montgomery. (One would hope)

Kirk Uhler is the one supervisor pictured without a “hat” on.

As soon as he got re-elected, news has gotten to this blogger via local government channels that Jim Holmes has changed his position on turning Placer County in to a Pot Farm.

Jack “Chief Ganja” Duran has gone all out on trying to screw up our quality of life in Placer County – beyond the obsession his fellow liberal democrats have with letting criminals out of prison via Prop 57. When Jack Duran isn’t palling around with Gun-Grabbing liberal democrats, he has devoted the last year plus of his life in to turning Placer County in to a pot farm.

In June, Jim Holmes voted with Kirk Uhler and Robert Weygant to direct county staff to create an anti-pot ordinance over the bellowing and histrionics of Chief Ganja.

People from all over Placer County Local Government showed up en masse to oppose the Pot Grow that Chief Ganja wanted to foment on Placer County. We all knew that Jennifer Montgomery would support it because she comes up with creative excuses to vote against the will of the majority of Placer County.

On election night at the next meeting of the Supervisors – Jim Holmes is planning on throwing his support behind authorizing Marijuana shops in Placer County. It appears that Mr. Holmes has forgotten about the wishes of his constituents and has attempted to split the baby. It was also relayed to me that Holmes is in support of allowing individual pot growers to create greenhouses. What could possibly go wrong!

Well, it is time to Call Jim Holmes’ office, and while you’re at it, call Jennifer Montgomery as well.

I would like to take this moment to thank Ted Gaines, Beth Gaines, and Tom McClintock for their fantastic leadership and indifference to their districts for allowing this loser (Chief Ganja) to get re-elected in 2014 without opposition. There are consequences for us all.

I’d also like to thank the establishment who support these losers simply because they are incumbents. You get your self-interests served while the rest of us get screwed with the insane things unaccountable, unchecked people who have no business in office do.

Jack Duran is in office because Ted Gaines and Beth Gaines were too busy moving around shopping for their next government paycheck. Tom McClintock – while right about Donald Trump and the circumstances that gave rise to his candidacy is completely tone deaf to his part in creating that environment. His benign neglect of his district is proof.

It should also be noted that McClintock, who lives in Elk Grove, supports turning Placer County in to a pot farm. It is kind of easy to be a libertarian when the consequences affect other people.

Meantime, we are left to deal with Pot Grows courtesy of Two Democrat Supervisors who have no business being in office in Placer County and a 3rd Supervisor who is trying to make everyone happy and is on his way to alienating everyone.
