Given that President Trump has had such virulent opposition, I have been remiss to disagree with him in public the few times when I have. Here’s one of them. Recently, I started looking in to what is happening with Interior Secretary Ryan Zinke and the review of a ton of National Monuments designated in the last 20+ years.

Anyone who knows me, knows that my wife and I spend our vacation time traveling to National Parks and getting outdoors. I’m far from being a tree hugger, but as a hardcore conservative I also see the value in public land and preservation of these designations.

Currently under review by the Trump Administration, and I say this as a full-fledged Trump/MAGA supporter, are a list of lands designated by the previous Administration as parks or monuments under the Antiquities Act of 1906. My understanding of the purpose of the review by the Department of the Interior is to determine whether these designations should be rescinded by proclamations through executive order. In California for example, the areas under review include the Cascade Siskiyous, San Gabriel Mountains, Mojave Trails, Giant Sequoia, Carrizo Plain, Sand to Snow and others that aren’t just for hikers and bird watchers – but also used by hunters, campers and horsemen.

Apart from my understanding and appreciation for National Parks and monuments, as a conservative I have no problem with reviews of these land designations per se, but I would have an issue with any action being taken through executive order. While we conservatives crowed when Obama governed recklessly using the executive order, we can’t turn around and then say it’s ok if our guys do it; Congress must be included if this is a path that this Administration wants to explore. Truth be told, I get very nervous any time I hear “executive order” outside of clear national emergency or defense purposes.

I am far from the only one using my Ronald Reagan era cowboy boots to kick up a little dust on this, a number of other Constitutional conservatives have raised a red flag on the potential rescinding of monument status through executive order. Apart from the process however, let me be clear, I want  Secretary Zinke to keep all of these lands designated parks and monuments unchanged because it’s good for the taxpaying public.

Conservatives are the original and the true conservationists. Despite current events in California, we don’t hold these views because we are acquiescing to a left-wing agenda aimed at climate change. Rather, many of us understand that the preservation of our natural heritage is important for the future, and it also maintains both economic and recreational opportunities for families, outdoors people, hunters, off-roaders, campers and the thousands of jobs supported by these lands.

In a very selfish way I also support keeping parks and monuments because I also have seen and experienced some of the most beautiful country at our National Parks and monuments traveling with my wife on our yearly adventures – and to be brutally honest as I always am, I doubt those experiences would be open and available if they weren’t designated as such.

The democrats understand that mass immigration and mass additions to the welfare rolls are their key to registering new voters. Globalists crave the cheap labor and the deterioration in the high standard of living that the west has as a result. When societies are stratified, they are easier to profit off of.

The democrats, the ACLU and other extreme left-wing organizations have gone to the courts in order to interfere with Donald Trump’s efforts to stem the flow of “Refugees” from countries racked by terrorism. Under the guise of discrimination, they sued. Left-wing judges obliged and now the “Travel Ban” is in the supreme court.

The democrats are hopping mad as illegal immigration is down 70%. They are also betting their political future on stopping Donald Trump’s wall (which happens to be very popular) as well.

Starting with this article, 16 States have joined the call to back up Donald Trump on his Travel Ban. Far-Left States like Washington and California were suing in order to keep the door open to potentially dangerous “refugees”. Please note that existing law allows a President to impose a travel ban up to 120 days – yet the liberal activist courts used Trump’s campaign rhetoric as the excuse to impose their will over existing law. The precedent of using political speech to override current law is a new one and a hallmark of the Judicial activists that Obama appointed to the federal bench.

In addition to Texas, the states that signed the brief are: Alabama, Arizona, Arkansas, Florida, Kansas, Louisiana, Montana, North Dakota, Ohio, Oklahoma, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee and West Virginia. Mississippi Gov. Phil Bryant also signed the brief.

(This is another reason why the GOP stuffed Obama’s appointments the last two years, leaving 110 vacancies on Federal Circuit Courts)

General Kelly, the Secretary of Homeland Security has sounded the alarm over Terrorist Travel, especially in light of the terrorist attacks all over the west (in celebration of Ramadan). This underscores the need for extreme vetting and the so-called Travel Ban.

Despite the efforts of the left and democrat appointed judges, Trump administration plows ahead with extreme vetting of immigrants.

The application, which will expire in six months, requires potential immigrants or visitors to give 15 years of biographical information and five years worth of social media accounts. It also asks for travel history for the past 15 years, and phone numbers and email addresses used during the past five years.

Sanctuary Cities are also in the news. They are also a big loser for the democrats in the polls. A sanctuary city is a place where illegal immigrants are protected by local government from deportation or federal action.

The situation is such that democrats are actually relenting and trying to find Bi-Partisan solutions to the issue.

Senators said Tuesday they may have a bipartisan way of allowing local police to cooperate with federal immigration agents, saying Congress could pass a law granting the localities protection from liability lawsuits brought by illegal immigrants who claim they were detained too long.

Sen. Ron Johnson said it could be a “pretty simple fix” to much of the sanctuary city fight that’s raging across the country.

“Let’s pass a law to give those local law enforcement officials liability protection,” the Wisconsin Republican and chairman of the Senate Homeland Security Committee said. “That could clear up this whole difference.”

Despite the best efforts of Obama-Appointed Judges, the flow of “Refugees” is down sharply.

Despite a court order halting most of his extreme vetting policy, President Trump’s administration has quietly been working toward his goal of a drastic cut in the number of refugees the U.S. will accept this fiscal year.

President Obama had set a target of up to 110,000 on his way out the door, but Mr. Trump tried to reset that number to 50,000. If the pace continues, the final tally is likely to be about 60,000 when the fiscal year ends in September — well below the level Mr. Obama wanted to lock in.

Most striking is the drop in the number of refugees from the seven terrorist-connected special interest countries that Mr. Trump singled out for extra scrutiny in his executive orders: Iran, Iraq, Libya, Somalia, Sudan, Syria and Yemen.

Remember, the President and the Cabinet Secretaries have a lot of power despite the attempts of activist judges, the ACLU and others looking to interfere with the law for Political purposes.

Then, there is this:

Newly elected Rep. Clay Higgins is gaining widespread attention for a Facebook post in response to Saturday’s London terrorist attack that called on the United States to hunt down radicalized Islamic suspects and “kill them all.”

The free world… all of Christendom… is at war with Islamic horror,” the Louisiana Republican wrote Sunday afternoon on his campaign page, which has remained active since his victory. “Not one penny of American treasure should be granted to any nation who harbors these heathen animals. Not a single radicalized Islamic suspect should be granted any measure of quarter. Their intended entry to the American homeland should be summarily denied.

“Every conceivable measure should be engaged to hunt them down. Hunt them, identify them, and kill them. Kill them all. For the sake of all that is good and righteous. Kill them all,” he concluded.

Mr. Higgins is not alone in his opinion – the democrats are left to choose Islam over the rest of us.

On Tue, June 6, two days before the media fixation on James Comey Day, Mitch McConnell announced that a repeal bill was close to passing.

This is key as the media and the democrats have been working overtime to protect this precious legislative victory of the Obama administration.

However, the reality of the current situation is causing #ACA to implode.

Blue Cross / Blue Shield withdrew from Nebraska

Health insurer Blue Cross Blue Shield announced Thursday that it would not be participating in the invidual market in Nebraska next year, and the remaining insurer hasn’t decided if it will leave also. Blue Cross Blue Shield is projected to lose $12 million this year from offering plans in the state, and the company would need to increase its price for premiums next year by 50 percent. The company previously participated in the Obamacare exchanges, which resulted in $150 million in losses…About 100,000 Nebraskans purchase their health insurance through the Obamacare exchanges, which allow most enrollees to receive tax subsidies to pay for their plans. Medica is the other insurer offering plans on the exchange in Nebraska.

Note that Aetna withdrew from Nebraska as well.

Anthem also withdrew from Ohio.

“Anthem the only state-wide insurer left in the state of Ohio announced it will be pulling out of every county’s ObamaCare exchange, leaving 19,000 Ohioans without any options,” he said.

The decision could leave 20 counties within the state without access to coverage under the Affordable Care Act, according to The Wall Street Journal. The insurer will continue to offer plans in one Ohio county, but not through the ObamaCare exchanges.

Remember those Co-Ops? Well one of the last ones that is still standing just took a 30% rate increase.

One of the five remaining co-ops created out of Obamacare has requested rate hikes of 30 percent, New Hampshire Union Leaderreported.

Minuteman Health, which operates in New Hampshire and Massachusetts, is requesting the rate hike due to Obamacare’s Medicaid expansion and the risk-adjustment program.

The Trump Administration will win this argument by the sheer inertia of the collapse of #ACA.

Remember Elon Musk? The billionaire whiner that bailed on Trump over the Paris Climate agreement? Yeah, he claimed he did not need government subsidies, yet his company spent $565k lobbying for them.

VA accountability bill flies through the Senate and is expected to Pass Congress Easily. This bill was spurred as several corrupt VA employees ran to Civil Service Protection in order to avoid being fired. Congress is stripping most all of those protections.

The VA is also finally going to sync its’ records with the Pentagon. This is aimed at making the delivery of care more efficient.

The Trump Administration has been slashing regulations at historic levels. Hundreds of Regulations have been gutted, and overturned.

In the sheer volume of regulations, Mr. Trump has released 8 percent of the historical average of new rules issued by Presidents Barack Obama, George W. Bush and Bill Clinton.

The study also found a “notable uptick” in the number of withdrawn measures — rules from the Obama administration no longer under consideration. In the time period examined, the average administration reviewed 190 rules; the Trump administration reviewed only 39.

There is a ton of work to do – DOJ employees who groped co-workers were still rewarded with bonuses.

Senior attorneys at the Department of Justice who groped female employees and engaged in other acts of sexual harassment were rewarded with bonuses, according to a recent audit.

The inspector general found that the Justice Department has a habit of transferring employees who are accused of sexual harassment rather than reprimanding them, going against the government’s “no tolerance” policy. Auditors found several cases where attorneys who stalked and spied on their female employees were subsequently rewarded for their behavior.

Donald Trump signed a directive to privatize the Air Traffic Controllers.

“Our air traffic control system is stuck painfully in the past,” Trump said. “The FAA has been trying to upgrade our nation’s air traffic control system for a long period of years but after billions and billions of tax dollars spent and the many years of delays, we’re still stuck with an ancient, broken, antiquated, horrible system that doesn’t work.”

AG Jeff Sessions ends the Obama-Era practice of allowing people to write large checks to selected charities (namely those preferred by the Obama Admin) in Lieu of fines.

“When the federal government settles a case against a corporate wrongdoer, any settlement funds should go first to the victims and then to the American people — not to bankroll third-party special interest groups or the political friends of whoever is in power,” Sessions said. “Unfortunately, in recent years the Department of Justice has sometimes required or encouraged defendants to make these payments to third parties as a condition of settlement.”

Labor Department Rolls Back Obama ERA Job-Killing Franchise Rules.

Labor Unions had gotten the Obama Admin to issue guidance making parent companies liable for the actions of their franchisees. This was a step towards Unions bullying companies in to unionizing. The edict of the Obama admin opened parent companies up to potentially unlimited lawsuits.

Trump Administration Delays one of the Costliest EPA Regulations Ever.

Environmental groups are already suing to force implementation of the rule mandating lower Ozone levels. This means that this decision by the EPA to review the basis of this climate edict from the Obama Administration was the right one.

The House Passed a bill to Gut Dodd-Frank.

In June 2016, House Financial Services Committee Chairman Jeb Hansarling (R-TX) stated:

We have to reduce the regulatory burden upon job creators and entrepreneurs. And Dodd-Frank represents the greatest imposition of regulation on our business enterprises of all Obama-era regulations combined. We will be continually shackled to a 1.5 [percent] to 2 percent [gross domestic product] economy until we get rid of Dodd-Frank. The Financial Choice Act is designed to give working Americans that pay increase that they have earned to unshackle the economy and to let the “animal spirits” move yet again through our economy.

To Be Contiued…

A key piece of American Government are unaccountable judges whose rulings effectively make law.

Donald Trump appointed 11 more Judges to the Federal Bench. His first batch are all being filibustered and delayed by the democrats. Expect this batch to be as well.

The Supreme Court could revisit a 40-year-old precedent that allows government agencies to force public sector workers to pay union dues, an issue the court deadlocked on in 2016 following the sudden death of Antonin Scalia.

The National Right to Work Foundation will file two petitions on Tuesday with the high court challenging coercive dues schemes for government employees (Janus v. AFSCME), as well as monopoly bargaining rights for home health aides that receive Medicaid dollars (Hill v. SEIU). The suits seek to overturn Abood v. Detroit Board of Education, a 1977 case that enabled government agencies to require the payment of union dues or fees as conditions of employment.

The cases are huge. They could decimate Unions across the country. When Wisconsin enacted their reforms – the number of Union Members paying dues dropped by 1/3. Read more here.

This is amongst the reasons why the democrats are on tilt trying to stop judges and why they forced the filibuster rules to be shredded by the Republicans on behalf of Justice Gorsuch.

One tactic the democrats are using is fake spam bots in order to give the appearance of support that does not really exist for their agenda. One key item to the democrats is Net Neutrality – a policy that was intended to lead to regulation of content on the internet. Since the right has to rely heavily on the internet to balance the broadcast media, this is a big deal.

Fake comments supporting Net Neutrality flooding in from Russia.

The latest analysis shows over a seven-day period 92,161 comments were submitted using a French domain extension; 84,618 from a German domain extension; and 60,220 from a Russian domain extension.

Read the story, and you will see that the comments are also full of racial slurs against Ajit Pai, the FCC Chairman.

Democrat Senators making as many as 30 Requests for Information one-at-a-time from Trump Nominees. They have been on a rampage against the EPA, which was their most effective policy-making entity under obama.

“We’ve received 20 letters from Senator Carper and 10 have already received a detailed response,” said Jahan Wilcox, an EPA spokesman. “Of the remaining 10 letters: Seven were received in the past month and we are working to respond as quickly as possible.”

and this:

Requests submitted by the committee included an inquiry about a Politicoarticle suggesting the EPA is considering hiring private lawyers to rewrite the Obama administration’s Waters of the United States regulation. The EPA sent its response on May 17.

Other requests that have been fulfilled included documents related to Pruitt’s decision to not attend the Oklahoma GOP fundraising gala. The response was delivered June 1.

Another response, dealing with documents about Pruitt’s ethics agreement, was fulfilled in three days. The committee sent a letter on May 2 regarding Pruitt’s lawsuit seeking to overturn the EPA’s 2015 National Ambient Air Quality Standards (NAAQS) for Ozone while he was attorney general of Oklahoma. The EPA sent a final response on May 5.

An additional response to a Senate inquiry will be mailed on Friday.

Get the idea?

Donald Trump himself has finally started engaging the obstructionists himself:

And the GOP said those confirmations Mr. Schumer is touting only came after a series of roadblocks erected by Democrats on Capitol Hill. More than 60 percent of the president’s picks have faced Democratic-led filibusters, and his Cabinet saw the largest number of “No” votes of any president in modern history.

Democrats have used parliamentary tactics to try to delay many of Mr. Trump’s appointments, asking for delays in committee and forcing filibuster voters on the Senate floor.

Mr. Trump’s solicitor general and two other high-profile Justice Department appointments have been awaiting a vote in the Judiciary Committee for weeks, with Democrats exercising their right under committee rules to demand a delay.

This will not play well for the democrats in 2018. Independents do not like stagnation without a message.
