First – the release from John Cox for Governor:

Sacramento, CA – Republican Businessman John Cox is announcing that he will be contributing his next $2 million into his campaign to be California’s next Governor. Cox made an initial $1 million contribution when announcing his campaign and has also more than 1,300 individual contributors from across California.

“All over the country fiscally conservative business people have been elected governor in so-called ‘safe Democrat states’ – just look at Maryland, Massachusetts and Illinois, and I think we can do the same here in California in 2018,” noted Cox.

“My campaign is one of ideas and I believe it’s worth the personal investment, because the political class in Sacramento has failed all of us, regardless of our political affiliation. I am a CPA and I can tell you the only way out of the unfunded liabilities they’ve created is economic growth. It’s time to set California’s fiscal house in order.”

Since John Cox announced for Governor he has received endorsements and support from Republican grassroots leaders, local elected officials, volunteers, and small business people across California.

“I am irrevocably committed to this campaign and defeating Gavin Newsom or any other Democrat, and uniting the Republican Party behind a strong ticket for 2018.”

John Cox is a husband, father, businessman and Republican candidate for California Governor in 2018. Born and raised on the south-side of Chicago by a single mother public school teacher, John is a CPA who built his small business from the ground up. He is a longtime government reform advocate and conservative, and is running to eliminate the corrupting influence of special interest money that has made California the high-tax and regulation leader of the nation.

Spoiler #1: San Diego Mayor Kevin Faulconer, he of the recent municipal tax increase.

Spoiler #2: Former Assembly-member David Hadley, he who gutted a recall effort of the current Assembly-member in his home district while allegedly running for governor. This is the same Hadley that got shellacked in AD66 by 8 points despite going in to the race with $1 Million in the bank. (Note, there are 80 Assembly districts in California, I wonder how he’d do in the other 79?)

Spoiler #3: Assembly-Member Travis Allen, noted playboy and maverick. He will have no institutional support as I am told and would thus be attempting to take the fringe mantle from the disaster known as Tim Donnelly. But, hey, he has the keyboard commandos impressed with his facebook ads! All this and Mr. Allen would have to forego his last 3 terms in the Assembly to run.

Spoiler #4: Former Assembly-member Tim Donnelly. Are the voices in his head telling him he has another mission from God? Or was that this week’s campaign “volunteer”?

Spoiler #5: The fact that I have gotten past spoiler #1 and have not mentioned Attorney General, Lt. Gov, Secretary of State, Controller, Treasurer, Insurance Commissioner or Teacher’s Union Rep (aka Superintendent of education) is absurd. The above 4 spoilers could fill some of these positions on the ballot!

Spoiler #6: $3 Million. More than the total fundraising potential of spoilers #1-4.

SB96 is a bill that will pass the California State Senate today. It changes the rules of a recall election. The Media spin on this was for the obvious reason of saving embattled and extremely vulnerable State Senator Josh Newman who won his election by less than 2,000 votes in 2016.

I got some news for the news – Newman will lose no matter when the recall election is.

SB96 does the following – (which will have the effect of delaying the certification of Recall until after the 12/7 deadline. 12/7 is significant as the Governor could consolidate the Recall onto the next regularly scheduled election.)

  1. It allows a 30 day cooling off period where people can withdraw their signatures. (This is designed to allow labor unions and other thugs to intimidate people who signed in to sending notes to the registrar to withdraw)
  2. It creates a bureaucracy to evaluate the cost of the recall (another 30 day delay and uses tax dollars to promote one of the primary campaign issues against a recall – the cost)
  3. It requires the counties to count every single signature, instead of using a “Snap Count”. This allows left-leaning counties to drag their heels as long as necessary to delay the certification until after whatever deadline is needed

It would be easy to stop here and say, gheez, they are changing the rules to save Josh Newman. All this does is keep Newman in office 6 months longer, it is not worth the bad PR and the residual bad blood post tax increase.

The real reason as I have learned from both a well-placed Capitol Source and a Labor Union Source is much more sinister.

The California Nurses Association have declared war against all opponents of the Single-Payer Healthcare Bill. The Nurses association is the second most powerful union behind the SEIU. They are fast becoming the most powerful.

They believe they are entitled to $250k a year salaries with lifetime retirement benefits at all of our expense. If single payer passes, the biggest winners would be the Nurses. The biggest losers, of course are all of us whose healthcare would be rationed and provided by the same people that brought us the DMV.

The Single-Payer Bill only passed the Senate 23-14, but did so with massive arm twisting and intimidation by the Nurses.

The Nurses are stalking assemblymembers and threatening to Recall them if the bill does not pass. The votes are not currently there in the Assembly to pass the bill.

Connect the dots.

With the proposed rules of SB96, recalling an assemblymember becomes impractical. With the vulnerable Josh Newman as cover – SB96 is brilliant in what it accomplishes. You would have to start a recall of an assemblymember in an even-numbered year, which guarantees its’ failure to qualify (because the assemblymember is already on the ballot). Or, you would have to start the recall right after the election (which you can’t do for 60 days anyway). This means, you have about a 3 month window to effect a recall of an Assemblymember, to have the recall election NOT be consolidated with the following regular election.

Even with all of the money and power the Nurses Union has, they could not overcome these obstacles.

I have to tip my cap to the democrats with SB96. This is one of the most brilliant bills I’ve seen from them in a long time.

The 300 pound gorilla in the room is Jack Duran. Jack “Chief Ganja” Duran is starting to sweat. (Jack Duran is the current Placer County D1 Supervisor)

Normally a hermit (when he is not trying to turn Placer County in to a Marijuana Orchard), Jack “Chief Ganja” Duran is out and proud lately.

My facebook feed has been graced with him appearing at events, some for the first time in the 10+ years he has infested office in Placer County.

It appears that Jack Duran’s quest to become the marijuana godfather of Placer County has finally run its’ course and there is a groundswell of people that want to run him over with VW Bus. (politically, that is, lest some snowflake call for my impeachment)

Mr. Duran can guarantee that the Right On Daily Blog will be there… for him. Because, we care. We will be supporting (fill in the name of candidate here) over Jack Duran for Supervisor.

Maybe Jack Duran can call the feckless Gaines for their endorsement, since they seem to gravitate towards anyone not being supported by the RightonDaily Blog. If he does, we believe the going rate is $2500 a piece. At least that is what it was for Cristi Nelson. Given the gobs of far left Union Money (and pot money) that Duran should get for his campaign, we are sure he can afford it.

Oh wait, Ted Gaines is running for his 5th different office in the last decade. (Sup / Assembly / IC / State Senate / Now Board of Equalization). The feckless Ted Gaines looks to be unopposed, ensuring the decade long string of non-governance for the north state continues. Once Ted wins, then Beth Gaines will run for State Senate to replace her husband. (Check the Secretary of State website, the committees are already open) Should Bethypoo waltz in to the State Senate, this will nullify the 150 point increase in IQ that Kevin Kiley brought to partisan office here in the North State. (Note, that we estimate Kevin’s IQ to be in the 140-150 range)

Back to Placer County…

Rumor has it that there will be an open seat on the Roseville City School Board. You can make bank the democrats will be recruiting someone.

Having recently met with Gary Miller, yes THAT Gary Miller for coffee, we here at RightonDaily have a distinct sense that Miller is still keenly interested in taking over that board with progressives. (Think leftists, think snowflakes, think resistance, think Obama, think Josef Stalin… you get the jist)

Scott Huber and Andrew Tagg are up for re-election to the Roseville Joint Union High School District. We’ve been told by several that Rene Aguilera is going to run again. We’ve had the personal privilege of nuking Aggie-lair-uh twice, why not go for the hat-trick? (A hat-trick is scoring 3 goals in a game of hockey or soccer, and is not a reference to how large/obese/vertically challenged/fat Aguilera is, just for clarity – all of it paid for by your tax dollars)

If Rene Aguilera runs for ANY office ANYWHERE, Right on Daily will annihilate him. He needs to move somewhere far, far away… like San Luis Potosi or Colima. Maybe he can take Chief Ganja with him.

(The white guy in the photo is Richard Rinucci. The two latino dudes are Chief Ganja and Rene Aggielairuh. The asian dude is Richard “Dr. Mengele” Pan, father of the forced vaccination law and author of several attacks on parent’s rights.)

Speaking of Rinucci – it looks like Mrs. Rocucci, Pauline that is… is looking at running for Placer County Water Agency District 1 against Gray Allen. This would give the democrats a slate as PCWA uses the same districts as supervisor.

For the first time in anyone’s memory – a Rocucci is not in office in Roseville as Richard’s humiliating performance in 2016 left that open. WE are not sure what Pauline’s motivation is, but we just do not see that ending well.

As of now – nothing seems to be up in either Dry Creek or Eureka USD.

In Rocklin, there is one expected retirement, maybe two amongst their two elected bodies. This blogger would like to see Bill Halldin run for Rocklin City Council. He runs, he wins.

In Lincoln, Gabriel Hydrick and Stan Nader are up for re-election.

Hydrick is an eccentric man, intelligent, very principled and awkward publicly. Many were always puzzled at his style and his approach. However, when Spencer Short (who was finally run out of office in 2016) went sideways and started playing to one very large developer at the expense of the rest… Hydrick became the third vote in favor of development and progress in Lincoln. As a result, his former opponents are likely to support him. We also respect his principled hard-right stances and his ability to communicate them on the campaign trail.

Nader, is popular in Lincoln and his family name carries weight there as well. All that said, Mr. Nader joined forces with Short and alienated a lot of people. No one really understands what happened, and we like Stan a lot and are still confused. His partnership with the radioactive and disgraced Short is going to haunt him for a long time in local government circles.

It remains to be seen if there is a viable opponent to those two. As of right now, Right on Daily is strongly inclined to support Gabriel for re-election regardless of the field. We will wait and see what stacks up.

There will be two open seats in Loomis Town Council as their term limits measure is finally taking effect. That little town should be on fire.

We are expecting Sierra College to float another bond measure next year.

It also remains to be seen if there will be any county-wide measures on the ballot. Stay tuned.

P.S. Notably missing is Roseville City Council 2018 edition. It will be a trainwreck that overshadows everything and will get its’ on extra-special attention when the time is right.

The democrats understand that mass immigration and mass additions to the welfare rolls are their key to registering new voters. Globalists crave the cheap labor and the deterioration in the high standard of living that the west has as a result. When societies are stratified, they are easier to profit off of.

The democrats, the ACLU and other extreme left-wing organizations have gone to the courts in order to interfere with Donald Trump’s efforts to stem the flow of “Refugees” from countries racked by terrorism. Under the guise of discrimination, they sued. Left-wing judges obliged and now the “Travel Ban” is in the supreme court.

The democrats are hopping mad as illegal immigration is down 70%. They are also betting their political future on stopping Donald Trump’s wall (which happens to be very popular) as well.

Starting with this article, 16 States have joined the call to back up Donald Trump on his Travel Ban. Far-Left States like Washington and California were suing in order to keep the door open to potentially dangerous “refugees”. Please note that existing law allows a President to impose a travel ban up to 120 days – yet the liberal activist courts used Trump’s campaign rhetoric as the excuse to impose their will over existing law. The precedent of using political speech to override current law is a new one and a hallmark of the Judicial activists that Obama appointed to the federal bench.

In addition to Texas, the states that signed the brief are: Alabama, Arizona, Arkansas, Florida, Kansas, Louisiana, Montana, North Dakota, Ohio, Oklahoma, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee and West Virginia. Mississippi Gov. Phil Bryant also signed the brief.

(This is another reason why the GOP stuffed Obama’s appointments the last two years, leaving 110 vacancies on Federal Circuit Courts)

General Kelly, the Secretary of Homeland Security has sounded the alarm over Terrorist Travel, especially in light of the terrorist attacks all over the west (in celebration of Ramadan). This underscores the need for extreme vetting and the so-called Travel Ban.

Despite the efforts of the left and democrat appointed judges, Trump administration plows ahead with extreme vetting of immigrants.

The application, which will expire in six months, requires potential immigrants or visitors to give 15 years of biographical information and five years worth of social media accounts. It also asks for travel history for the past 15 years, and phone numbers and email addresses used during the past five years.

Sanctuary Cities are also in the news. They are also a big loser for the democrats in the polls. A sanctuary city is a place where illegal immigrants are protected by local government from deportation or federal action.

The situation is such that democrats are actually relenting and trying to find Bi-Partisan solutions to the issue.

Senators said Tuesday they may have a bipartisan way of allowing local police to cooperate with federal immigration agents, saying Congress could pass a law granting the localities protection from liability lawsuits brought by illegal immigrants who claim they were detained too long.

Sen. Ron Johnson said it could be a “pretty simple fix” to much of the sanctuary city fight that’s raging across the country.

“Let’s pass a law to give those local law enforcement officials liability protection,” the Wisconsin Republican and chairman of the Senate Homeland Security Committee said. “That could clear up this whole difference.”

Despite the best efforts of Obama-Appointed Judges, the flow of “Refugees” is down sharply.

Despite a court order halting most of his extreme vetting policy, President Trump’s administration has quietly been working toward his goal of a drastic cut in the number of refugees the U.S. will accept this fiscal year.

President Obama had set a target of up to 110,000 on his way out the door, but Mr. Trump tried to reset that number to 50,000. If the pace continues, the final tally is likely to be about 60,000 when the fiscal year ends in September — well below the level Mr. Obama wanted to lock in.

Most striking is the drop in the number of refugees from the seven terrorist-connected special interest countries that Mr. Trump singled out for extra scrutiny in his executive orders: Iran, Iraq, Libya, Somalia, Sudan, Syria and Yemen.

Remember, the President and the Cabinet Secretaries have a lot of power despite the attempts of activist judges, the ACLU and others looking to interfere with the law for Political purposes.

Then, there is this:

Newly elected Rep. Clay Higgins is gaining widespread attention for a Facebook post in response to Saturday’s London terrorist attack that called on the United States to hunt down radicalized Islamic suspects and “kill them all.”

The free world… all of Christendom… is at war with Islamic horror,” the Louisiana Republican wrote Sunday afternoon on his campaign page, which has remained active since his victory. “Not one penny of American treasure should be granted to any nation who harbors these heathen animals. Not a single radicalized Islamic suspect should be granted any measure of quarter. Their intended entry to the American homeland should be summarily denied.

“Every conceivable measure should be engaged to hunt them down. Hunt them, identify them, and kill them. Kill them all. For the sake of all that is good and righteous. Kill them all,” he concluded.

Mr. Higgins is not alone in his opinion – the democrats are left to choose Islam over the rest of us.

On Tue, June 6, two days before the media fixation on James Comey Day, Mitch McConnell announced that a repeal bill was close to passing.

This is key as the media and the democrats have been working overtime to protect this precious legislative victory of the Obama administration.

However, the reality of the current situation is causing #ACA to implode.

Blue Cross / Blue Shield withdrew from Nebraska

Health insurer Blue Cross Blue Shield announced Thursday that it would not be participating in the invidual market in Nebraska next year, and the remaining insurer hasn’t decided if it will leave also. Blue Cross Blue Shield is projected to lose $12 million this year from offering plans in the state, and the company would need to increase its price for premiums next year by 50 percent. The company previously participated in the Obamacare exchanges, which resulted in $150 million in losses…About 100,000 Nebraskans purchase their health insurance through the Obamacare exchanges, which allow most enrollees to receive tax subsidies to pay for their plans. Medica is the other insurer offering plans on the exchange in Nebraska.

Note that Aetna withdrew from Nebraska as well.

Anthem also withdrew from Ohio.

“Anthem the only state-wide insurer left in the state of Ohio announced it will be pulling out of every county’s ObamaCare exchange, leaving 19,000 Ohioans without any options,” he said.

The decision could leave 20 counties within the state without access to coverage under the Affordable Care Act, according to The Wall Street Journal. The insurer will continue to offer plans in one Ohio county, but not through the ObamaCare exchanges.

Remember those Co-Ops? Well one of the last ones that is still standing just took a 30% rate increase.

One of the five remaining co-ops created out of Obamacare has requested rate hikes of 30 percent, New Hampshire Union Leaderreported.

Minuteman Health, which operates in New Hampshire and Massachusetts, is requesting the rate hike due to Obamacare’s Medicaid expansion and the risk-adjustment program.

The Trump Administration will win this argument by the sheer inertia of the collapse of #ACA.
