For those of you that are unaware, Roger Niello rented a nice RV and is touring the entire SD-01 district to draw attention to his campaign for State Senate.
Not a bad idea. Not bad until the Howard Jarvis Taxpayer’s Association got ahold of it:
Howard Jarvis Taxpayers Association Blasts Roger Niello
as his Higher Taxes Tour Continues
Granite Bay, CA — The President of the Howard Jarvis Taxpayers Association has issued a strong statement reminding voters of Roger Niello’s vote to increase the Car Tax, the Sales Tax and the Income Tax on Californians.
“Roger Niello provided the deciding vote in favor of the largest tax increase ever imposed by any statehouse in the history of America. For California taxpayers, this was a profound and shocking disappointment. This is a big reason why we have proudly endorsed Ted Gaines, a proven tax fighter who will hold the line on Sacramento’s quest for ever increasing revenues from hardworking Californians.”
Roger Niello is touring the First Senate District this week, hoping that voters don’t remember his vote last year to raise taxes. Niello provided his vote as part of the failed budget deal with Democrats in February of 2009. Voters in the First Senate District, and statewide, overwhelmingly rejected extending Niello’s tax increases on the May 2009 Special Election ballot.
