I saw a column in the Washington Examiner – Should Ted Kennedy Be Allowed to Buy A Gun?

Remember, TedKennedy killed a girlfriend in the 60’s and got away with it in a DUI related traffic fatality. Maybe in relation to this, Ted Kennedy had to meet with the head of Homeland security to clear his name off the Terror Watch list – (keep reading to understand why that is significant)

Check out the catch-22 issue the Democrats have created:

You’re on the no-fly list, so you should not be able to buy a gun, right? Sounds reasonable…

However, the No-Fly list is not public. This means that people on it are denied due process if they tried to buy a gun and got rejected for a reason they weren’t told about. (unless you’re a Senator)

And – given the fact that the government proves time and again to be idiots… there are hundreds on the no-fly list that maybe should not be there.

Quoting the Washington Examiner article:

First, it guarantees that “the right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed.” Second, it provides that no one can be “deprived of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law.” Third, it has always been understood to confer the presumption of innocence for those accused of crimes — including terrorism and association with terrorists.

In a chicken-feed attempt to play Gotcha with Carly – boxer just trapped herself. She wants Terrorists to have miranda rights (see also due process) – but people buying a gun get no due process.

Anti-Gun agenda exposed again.

Barbara Boxer makes it easy, doesn’t she?

P.S. Don’t call Barbara Boxer Ma’Am
